      de ligt is such a good CB. great on the ball. great positioning. love the mazraoui move as well. not a united fan but love what ten hag is doing here. they know his system well and how he wants to play. if he can get a lot out of sancho this season, united could make a decent challenge this year. the english do not watch anything other than the prem so they wont know anything about De Ligt other than highlights(if they eve n go watch that) but the boy can play.

      Over the past ten years, we have had our back four mostly composed of the most expensive players at the time they were signed to MU. Centre back (Maguire), left back (Shaw) and right back (AWB). However, they were all overpriced compared to their ability and performance.

      I have been waiting for this overhaul of our defensive lineup for years, which i believe to be the most crucial elements for us to come back as a title challenger. It may take months for the squad to show their best but i am really confident.

      If we can get either Urgate or Berge this summer and Richard Rios in the winter, our squad is not inferior to any teams in Premier League.

      A season full of hope.

      It will mean that man utd will have 2-3 players for a range of nationalities. 2 Danes. 2 Brazilians. 2 Moroccans. 2 Argentinians. 2 Portuguese. 3 Dutch. 4 English.

      As a United fan, I still don’t know what to make of Ten Hag. He talks about « need for major surgery » and big changes. It seems that what he has been desperate for is trying to recreate his Ajax from the champions league semifinal days. Apparently, he needs the players that he brought up to succeed, he hasn’t been able to transmit his style of play to the ones already here. He bought 5 of his previous Ajax boys already now.
