I think he is the best Salah replacement IN THIS SYSTEM. Salah might occupy a more playmaker role in this system, Kubo is the RW with the best technical ability and passing acumen. However, his finishing is not his forte, so goals need to come from other players.

Honestly, I am a bit tired of these small time, hidden gem signings. Kubo is not good enough. It's not fair to judge him on a Salah scale and that is the reason why I don't want him. Bowen had 3 great seasons recently, Watkins had 2 great seasons, Palmer is on fire, Kudus is doing great, Lookman is shaping up and my point is: We need to sign to win, not hope a lad grows his potential.
Salah was great at Roma, elite at Liverpool, Mane was great at Southampton, elite at Liverpool, Firmino same, Jota same, Gakpo coming up, Nunez hopefully. No more gambles! Assume that no1 will breakthrough at Liverpool. If someone is coming, they better be a star where they come from, otherwise don't bother. This isn't Dortmund
Basically, for the last two years he has been the best player in La Liga except for Real Madrid and Barcelona players. So he is criminally underrated by EPL fans.

7 goals in 30 games last season doesn't compare in a any realm to Salah. 0 goals in 8 CL games also says he isn't good enough. The add in the price of β¬60m then you have a very overrated player.
Not the biggest fan of this. We need to get a LB/LCB and DM then we can look at RW. I think going for a RW is a good idea and transition salah into the 10 as he loses his speed but we already have Elliot and Nunez can still play off the right, infact i prefer him of a wing.

I normally have a lot of time for Laurence, but I just cannot agree on Kubo.
His stats are just not good enough – career goal scoring rate is a goal every 7/8 games with assist rate even lower (only 13 assists in 5 years); last season his rate was slightly better – goal every 6 games and an assist every 8 games, but still not nearly enough. Nor do I think he looks that great on vids – he looks quite predictable and not that strong, certainly I think Ben Doak or Kaide Gordon are just as good if not better, and they are younger, faster and free. He looks OK but just nothing special. I certainly wouldn't pay 60m for him.

Asian players have a great work ethic but this guys stats aren't very good. Plus we'd lose him to the Asia Cup at the worst possible time. I suppose he'd be better than nothing but he isn't coming at a great time with Klopp gone.

Kubo before the Euros I would say was just as good as Nico Williams but being left footed really makes their value on par.
It will be a farce and a scandal to sign this humble Asian player. O club owners, stop these farces by contracting with a player who is not even fit to play in the fifth division of the league.
Like the look of Kubo, price not so much but sure it's negotiable. People need to stop whining and worrying about us not bringing in anybody yet, imo the market isn't flush with many players who really improve us, squad harmony is important, you don't just buy everyone for sake of spending money which some want… Muppets, I believe Arne slot is THE right man to take us forward anyway. We don't need massive overhaul, just fine tuning and Arne needs time to see what he has already before we go blowing stupid money on players who either aren't an upgrade on what we have or not right personality for our squad. People need to seriously calm down about signings though. Id be onboard for Kubo at right price, endo would help him settle and you cannot fault Japanese players for their commitment and honesty so no doubt he would fit in. Good video YNWA
