Don’t get us turning down Hermoso. Free transfer, around £100k a week and better suited to ETH style of football than Maguire. Maybe bringing him in and pushing Maguire further down the pecking order would have encouraged him to look for a move now.
I wish everyone would get their facts straight about Frenkie, which was validated by Swedish Ramble on X. Barcelona offered Frenkie a staggered wage deal. In his first season he was only earning 40k per week, each season it would increase. The 600k per week is what he would be paid in his final year. On average his wage would work out to 244k per week which is the same as Mount currently. Frenkie didnt leave Barcelona because of this agreement, Barcelona were unwilling to pay out what was owed to him (like Maguire last season, and AWB this season). It was barcelona trying to force him out because they knew they would need to pay this huge wage but weren't willing to pay out his contract. Its really quite straight forward.

The stats we are quoted on De Jong are nonsence. Remember the Barca wages cut last year. The 600 is recovering wages he gave up. Barca can’t sell him without paying the “deferred wages”. Never gets done this year !!
