Two things, celebrate, then keep up the pressure. After waiting to fire Berhalter to see if the fan base settled down, their second move is to fire Berhalter to appease the fan base, while they go find another crony to hire. No more MLS mids. Get a proven manager whose reputation demands respect, and who also holds players accountable.
no mls coaches, I like Nancy but we need to aim big and go for someone who has experience at the top level. my wishlist is Klopp, Pochettino, Viera, mattarazzo, Wagner, reynard, Henry, Brendan Rodgers, Roberto Mancini and more…
Pochettino is my top choice for US manager (aside from Klopp), he truly got the absolute best out of a completely dysfunctional Chelsea team last Premier League season and he has a talent for extracting talent from young or complacent players. The only issue I see with him is potentially a conflict of interest if he were to face Argentina, but that should not disqualify him in the slightest.
This site must be filled with theoretical physicists. Who wants a coach who is the most successful in our history if he can't win matches with one less player than the other team. I say fire that man immediately!!! We need a more diverse coach ASAP!!!
We need a top European coach. Full stop. This is an extremely attractive job there is no reason we shouldn’t be able to secure a top world class manager.
Gregg deserved to be let go, but he left this team better than when he got here. Don't lose sight you are celebrating a man losing his job. It was justified but keep a little class as you revel in your imagined self importance. They did not let him go because we the fans demanded it. They let him go because he didnt perform. Also worst coach in history has the best winning percentage? Take hold of your recency bias and gain a little perspective.
I think we should get a coach that gives us a defensive identity. We are not going to be favorites in significant tournaments and we need to be able to compete with them and our defense is key. Turner should be given a break and the young keepers should be given opportunities.
