    Youssouf Fofana To Manchester United?! Howson Reacts



    Sky have broke that news that Yousouff Fofana is being strongly considered as his move to Milan continues to stall. Seen as an alternative to Onana.

    Erik ten Hag has reiterated his stance on midfielder Scott McTominay,
    calling him an “important player” and says the club do not wish to
    sell, amid interest from Fulham. United are expecting further offers for the Scottish international – Galatasaray also remain interested.

    If a midfielder is to leave in this window, United have been working on
    potential incomings. Dialogue remains open with PSG over Uruguay midfielder Manuel Ugarte, but initial talks have highlighted a gap in valuation.

    Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana is another player the club are looking at, as well as discussions over making Sofyan Amrabat’s loan deal a
    permanent one. They are unlikely to trigger the €20m option price they negotiated when Amrabat arrived last summer.

    As it stands, Casemiro is likely to stay with interest from Saudi
    cooling, but a departure later in the window cannot be ruled out.

      Fofana and ugarte as the 2 against a man city/arsenal (where you aren't seeing much of the ball). Either fofana or ugarte alongside mainoo against a team united can match throughout 90 mins (villa, Liverpool, spurs etc). Can pick and choose whoever against anybody else. Speculation and opinion based of course.

      Super excited by our business so far this transfer window. But the thing that concerns me so far is our lack of talent on the wings.

      If sancho goes to psg. And Antony goes on loan. I’m not sure Amad is enough. Who knows what rashford we get next season.

      Need some young talented wingers in the mix too.

      So a player who is better than Amrabat for less money?! We should be getting Fofana in asap and then continue with Ugarte negotiations

      When you were talking about if you don't know if the team is being worked on an 11 or squad depth. Has to be squad depth man the amount of games being that get played with the injury record we've had we need squad depth in all parts of the team

      If Eriksen and Casemiro go, we didnt secure Amrabat. This would be very smart business especially if we also bring in Ugarte. Can’t rely on Mount to stay fit as well.

      This seems like a no for me….. if its the case that we get ugarte and sell casemeiro and mctominay, i can then see us making this signing..Right now we need a destroyer not another ball carrier

      I'm happy with either Fofana, Zuimendi or Ugarte. Tho, I think Ugarte would be the best for us because he just gets about the pitch well. Has technical ability but compliments any #8 or #10

      A big strong aggressive DM like him could very well do a good job for the midfield. Definitely something the current midfielders are lacking.
      And for the price.. definitely worth at least trying

      You can't just fill your team with players that whack it forward but give it away 50 times a game. I can do that Sunday league level hoof it and hope they call it. You've gotta have some sort of ball retention else 20 shots against per game happens

      Reports suggest now that United and Athletico are sniffing around the fee has doubled to 30-35m. United need to be more ruthless getting rid of the likes of Scott, Wan Bissaka and Maguire. If you get 60-70m for them and get two 1st team starters then get it done.
