  1. Why have him and Dalot at the same time and let AWB leave when he offers something different from both players. AWB is not poor, he is not just good at crosses and shooting.. He's intelligent and knows how to work with players around him, also he covers grounds as long as you do not beat him with two players to one.

  2. Keep the RBs. Not the issue.

Buy 2 LBs insteada. Doughty and Netz for me. Make them fight for first team spot. Move Shaw to CB; but keep availability for LB too

  3. Do you think they are betting on Shaw and Malacia staying fit or Amass making the jump up if needed? I would prefer a proper left back after last season really never having one aside from Reguilon.

  4. Mazraoui is really good. I think he's been a bit disgruntled at Bayern because they seems to have prefered to play all their other quality fullbacks ahead of him for the last few seasons. So maybe he's not gonna be happy to come in and be 2:nd fiddle to Dalot? I kinda think he could actually prove to be an upgrade on Dalot in certain aspects.

  5. Genuine question, am I the only fan who wants a English/British based/foundation for a team. Yes we all want the best players but as a club in England shouldn't it be the case where we should field a certain amount of British players.

I know we want upgrades and better players but shouldn't this be the basis for clubs in their respective countries.

We are doing good business upgrading the team and squad but this is in my mind.

    Maybe I'm alone in this

  6. AWB had 6 assists in a season under Ole. This idea that he doesn’t offer anything going forward is nonsense.

    Would much rather keep AWB.

  7. He didn’t do well at all at Bayern. I actually thought he would be great but man it didn’t work out.

What’s a red flag is that the German league is much higher standard as the Dutch league and he struggled.

  8. After injuries in defense last season the idea of injury prone players should be a major concern, de ligt has worries there to so risking two purchases seems short sighted

  9. My main reasoning for keeping AWB was that it would save us the trouble of replacing him in an already stacked transfer window.

But this looks like a very good option, especially considering AWBs contract is about to run out.

  10. I don’t like that we are now trying too much getting ex Ajax players. But getting Mazraoui does make sense. We are Manchester United. I live and was born in Holland, I don’t like Ajax. Don’t want a Koeman at Barcelona situation

  11. It will be cheaper to have this guy in the squad this season than Wan Bissaka. The important comparison is the per season cost because of the amortisation of player purchases. We effectively pay £10M a year for Wan Bissaka's transfer until the end of his contract. We're gonna see this all summer. One player the previous regime overpaid for go out. For over his remaining amortisation costs. And a new player brought in that has a lower amortisation cost. That reduces the squad budget in a year vs year comparison. I reckon with the 6 players moves so far, 4 out, 2 in, the 24/25 squad cost is about 60M less than the 23/24 season. £40M in transfer fees and about £20M in reduced player amortisation fees and wages.

  12. It is arguable that AWB may not help you win against the likes of Fulham but does help you not lose against the likes of Liverpool..is an alternative option going to give the same kind of protection as AWB in big games?

  13. Shaw of RBs related to injuries. 200 missed days last 4 years and over 58 matches with multiple muscle injuries. Reason hes being offloaded, cant stay healthy. Him and Shaw could play cards in the physio room.

  14. I like Dalot and I do see his growth as a player under ETH- but I don’t rate him very highly to be honest. I think we need to have 2 players on each side LB and RB that need to be challenging each other every single practice. We haven’t had that consistently and for Luke Shaw in particular I know he needs to be challenged to see the best of em
