Zubimendi is the player we need.
Yea, we do need some more outgoings though, like perhaps Eriksen, Casemiro, McTominay and maybe Hannibal (unless he improved during his loan spell and they decide to keep him).
But then again it's hard to say anything for definite because with the new coaching setup things might work better.
There are other clubs in for him willing to pay money so I doubt a loan deal will be enough to get him.
Feels like we have an initial target for three signings across the team – regardless of sales. To get the depth we require, needs sales beyond the ugarte approach. Fingers crossed the stars continue to align and we can get the funds to get that extra defender we could do with as well – then anyone else that might help with depth.

Sell McTominay and keep Casemiro. Him, Bruno, Shaw, Martinez and Dalot can play their part in the experience of the team and the nurturing of the younger players which seems to be the tragetory that United is going. So half or one more season for Casemiro is a good deal. He could also step in if there's any injury to the midfield to Urgarte, Bruno or even Mainoo and the team would still be balanced!
In my head, i still think the perfect dm to complement Bruno & Mainoo is Brighton's Bissouma. Strong, fast, aggressive, confident on his own. Winning duels, bringing the ball forwards
Loan deal with buy option for Ugarte is ideal
Ugarte is a very good player but not worth 60m! PSG have set their eyes on Neves and allready have 3 defensive midfielders. So they want to sell Ugarte not because he is bad, more because they already have players that fit Enriques system better in that position. Man United on the other hand need the type of player Ugarte is; a proper defensive midfielder, who is aggressive and cover space and protect the backline. If they can get him on a loan is a great deal otherwise he is not worth more than around 45m.

I honestly think this transfer could get difficult. PSG really want to recoup what they spent on ugarte last year. I doubt if they'll agree for a reduced fee. And I don't think utd can make another £50 mill transfer.

Tf you guys smoking? Ugarte is better on the ball, more mobile and agile, is a better tackler and has great recovery pace. How is being better in the air supersede all those other qualities combined?
A loan with buy option for Ugarte is best for us but don't think PSG will allow that.If they are asking €60-70m as per the rumours then we should back off & should go for Zubimendi.
I really rate a move for Ugarte. We were torn apart defensively last season and neither Casemiro nor Amrabat could solve it. Anyone that thinks a 19 year old 1.75 meter kid – however talented, can stop a counter-attack better than Ugarte is insane. He may not be Rodri, but what he does well is what we desperately need – so I'd have him in a heartbeat. My perfect scenario is Casemiro out to Saudi and Ugarte in alongside exercising the option for Amrabat OR briging in Richard Rios who had a great Copa America for Colombia.
Yoro is an upgrade in terms of consistency maybe. But to say Yoro is an upgrade to varane is just wrong. Right now if fit varane is the better player. If people are expecting leny yoro to immediately upgrade our defense, I would say pls give the kid time, remember there were some games last season where varane and martinez were playing and we were still awful. That isnt going to get magically fixed by switching one player.
Ugarte for casemiro sounds like a risk. It's a lot of money to bet on someone. But if we can sell casemiro it makes it easier to digest😅
