It is official. Archie Gray has joined Tottenham Hotspur as Joe Rodon comes the other way in a “separate deal.” Let’s talk about this for one last time and put a bow on this transfer.

At this rate, barring Ampadu, Rodon, Piroe, Rutter and James, we could be seeing an entirely new Leeds United squad! How crazy is that, people?

Hey people, what do you think of the owners negotiating power?
It just makes me laugh out loud with pleasure at how hard we are negotiating deals.
Last year we were straight-up forced to sell Sini, but we told them that they are either letting us have Anthony or we see them in court.
This year, despite there being a release clause in Archie’s contract, we negotiate the heck out of that deal and get Rodon back. We probably needed to make some concessions to the payment structure of the Gray deal, but we still got our main defender back.
That shows me something. Something spherical that comes in pairs.

Harsh reality of being stuck in the Championship, it'll be interesting to see the reactions when more heavy hitters leave 😬 I wonder will another year in the Championship still be "not that bad" to the passion merchants when the reality hits them. Our only hope is promotion this season. At least we got Rodon to ease the blow.

Just one thing Kagey all those Farke doubters take note Rodon would rather play for the Mighty Leeds United under Farke than the premiership that’s the kind of player attitudes we need it’s not about money he wants to play for our club not many other players would do that

Love you Kagey, but can’t disagree with you more re. the club telling Archie he had to go as I think they needed some cash for the end of June PSR deadline. Archie is only just 18 and didn’t desperately need Premier Lge games now.
Post deals being done clubs will spin all they can to try and save face and carry fans favour.
Thank you for leaving emotions out of it. Some content creators are practically crying on screen about this and I just don’t get it. Players come and go, has always been this way. Did we think Archie would stay for 20 years? No chance. He’s getting a great opportunity and better pay… and we get funds for the transfer budget to get the hell out of this league.

The big test will be to see if we now add quality, and a decent LB, RB and striker( will Summerville stay?)
His england ambitions have got to be considered. Another year in champ almost certainly rules him out and he has got to be looking at next world cup squad.

To be fair to the new owners, they gave him a contract and took the necessary steps if we failed, which we did, unlike the previous owners which left us hamstrung last year.

Unfortunately Archie was our sacrificial lamb we were always going to lose our best players! & Even Archie would have known this hence the release clause … Archie knows it’s best for the club & him now for his further development in the Prem! Let’s be honest he’s ready for the step up! Sadly we’re not a destination club (Yet) 😎✌🏻
