As a Villa fan. Pickford is the only goalkeeper I would want us to go and get if we lost Emi to a top European club. JP is excellent.
No one gave Jordan any credit in the penalty shootout against Switzerland, it was all in who put the ball in the onion bag, Pickford got us off to a flyer by saving the first one that was the key to the confidence
When Pickford first joined us, for the first couple of seasons I honestly thought he was on the spectrum and that interfered with his goalkeeping displays (losing concentration) for an example but in the last few seasons he’s cut out his unforced errors and calamities and has really shone for us. As for his distribution and passing range. He’s the best in the world.
Defences are getting better, that's why the so called lesser teams have done well , and bigger teams lost or drawn, its also why the football has been dull 😊

Pickford isn't underrated as a PL Goalkeeper but I'd say overall in world football he's underrated.
In my opinion his performances in the PL are a bit sloppy and some of his in-possession actions are over-the-top.
However, whenever the stakes are high and the highest pressure is on, he consistently performs at the top of his game

If it wasn't for Jordan Pickford Everton would of got relegated in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons. It wasn't the fans that kept us up (that was a help) but it was his match winning saves. In his first couple of seasons he made some high profile mistakes and the media being the positIve people they are of course focused on that and have continued to focus on the negatives when it comes to Jordan. He's an absolutely brilliant keeper and it's about time it was recognised.
He's the best gk in the prem and the most consistent.
