  1. I have always wished and hoped that Alexis would take the helm as the coach for US! In his playing days, he was smart and tough and he can be equally as smart as a coach! Plus he’s got fire in him that can bring out the best in players! Alexis would you please consider it!

  2. If Dest is what we are looking to as our best option you know our players are all mediocre. Dest wasn’t good enough to play in top level european clubs. FCB couldn’t give him away. None of the places he went to “on loan” wanted to keep him. So clearly we lack talent (with very few exceptions) to be able to compete. Not really a “golden generation”. Theres a lot of work to be done. Starting with the organizational structure.

  3. No team cohesion. Other countries have more spirit and play in a culture where football is the top dog and not 8th place attention wise like in the USA.

  4. Kinda sad tbh I’m Canadian, usa should be light years ahead of us in soccer, but yet here we are going to the semis in a massive international tournament

  5. Ah america, failing again. How has so much money been poured in to football in the US yet yous are still this bad?

Wanna know why? Grit and determination. Too many players earning too much doesn't matter if they win lose or draw

  6. I'm over the Gio talk. He's been a ton of hype. Why? He came off the bench for NF a few times, who are in a relegation battle every year, and didn't do much.

Idk how this is supposed to be "the best" US team when most don't start for their clubs, or their clubs are not great, or they're role players, not playmakers. Pulisic was a super sub at Chelsea and has looked great at Milan, but he's really the odd man out. Everyone else is expendable.

Turner didn't even play all of last season for NF as well bc too many mistakes. The US at one point had like 4 solid GKs at once (Howard, Keller, Friedel, Hahnemann, Guzan).

    Now? Not even close.

  7. Yup – that’s an honest take. They were mediocre at best and it’s painful to see only Pulisic try in every match and maybe Jedi. Everyone else was sluggish at best.

  8. Golden generation got to their heads before they can even earn that title. It’s more of a tarnished generation at this point.

  9. Your problem is assuming you have a great team. You think that the national team is on higher level than it actually is. Come back down and accept the fact that the US is at an amateurish level compared to the bigger teams

  10. Gio wasn't invisible. People always think that players have to score/assist in order to standout. Also, Gregg is having Gio play in the wrong half of the midfield. Gregg needs to have him on the opposing half at the top of the semi-circle.

  11. Listen. I was at 2022 world cup USA vs Netherlands Round 16 . . The knockout phase of a World Cup is a Major leap for this squad. Netherlands đŸ‡łđŸ‡± just toyed with US . . đŸ‡ș🇾 was never close to the ball in open play and their MF & defensive structure was easily broken . . Ill stop there. It was EYE OPENING

  12. I am staggered by the lack of nuance amongst the fan base. People claiming about players are trash bc we lost to Panama. Look at how shite France looked compared to Spain, with a billion dollar squad

it’s almost as if the coaching had something to do with it.
Mckennie was one of Juve’s best midfielders this year, Pulisic was amongst the top combined goals and assists in the entire league, Richards a regular in a mid table Premier League team, ARob Fulhams player of the season, Reyna despite a bad year clearly has potential to be world class (if you don’t agree, then you don’t know ball), Tyler when fit can be an elite DM, and Balogun is worth 30M on transfer market. We are in the top 15 teams in the world on transfermarket value. It’s all the people that are either casual fans or corportate shills like Lalas that make the argument the players aren’t good enough. Yes, we do have a weakness in goal though, I’ll grant that.
