I would want England to win (as a fan of England) — however, I think that they are winning in spite of Southgate. He is tactically inept, unwilling to make the right calls and sticks with his favorites rather than his best players and a more aggressive formation. Just look at the substitutions he made and WHEN he made them! They were reactive rather than proactive. Kane came off due to cramp (go figure by the way?!) otherwise would that have even happened? England were playing with 10 men while Kane was on the pitch — he offered nothing, absolutely zero.
Trippier should not be starting. If Shaw doesn't start then England should go 3 at the back and 5 across midfield — play the likes of Eze, Palmer….Foden (in the middle, at last……!!)….. Give Gordon a go on the left for some of the match —- Create a system, where the quality players can come in and take over after 60 minutes with fresh legs and let it rip!

Im Dutch and if we can’t beat this England team we don’t deserve to go to the final tbf. Not because of the lack of star players, u obviously have a better team in terms of names. But because England has been CONSISTENTLY massively underperforming. Not only the Euros but also the previous World Cup. Awful play tbh, it’s insane how that’s even possible with such players. So yes I’m confident, while knowing in terms of names we don’t have the quality to reach the final under normal circumstances. I fully agree with the caller about Southgate though…..massively underperforming consistently. Imo the guy should be fired and try to get a MODERN manager like Klopp, modern day football. A lot of movement around the ball, without the ball, not simple line defense but zone marking, midfielders who dare to play the ball forward instead of to someone next to them, keep the pace in the game when u possess the ball etc. All your players are able to do it with top PL teams so it’s not a matter of not being able to…..it’s clearly the manager.

Personally hope we get knocked out. Couldn’t bare to see Southgate rewarded for his complete negativity and wokeness. I keep asking myself this question: the Swiss vs England game was terrible…low pace low intensity no tension whatsoever for 120 minutes…while turkey and Holland brought the absolute heat to that stadium…with passion intensity energy high pace etc.
Would england beat any of the two on that same day? I don’t think so tbh.

There is no way the english fa will sack southgate ever in my opinion certainly not any time soon he could lose 4 or 5 nil vs the dutch and they wouldnt sack him imo the only way he leaves is if he resigns 🤔
