  1. Is this a joke? 🤨 It's not even been a quarter of his first season in the Premier League and people are calling on him to be England's star man? 😂 Just goes to show the lack of quality we have, especially in midfield. This guy has shown a couple of so so glimpses, has on a whole been average at best. Nothing against the lad, but let's analyse his potential inclusion after seeing him making an impact in the top flight for at least a season before claiming he's the next best thing. Harry Kane was still being called a fluke until a season or so ago 😏. Football fans are the most fickle hypocrites 😆.

  2. being coventry city fan i would love to see Maddison in the england squad. he has alot of potential and despite his age has already played league 1, championship and in the scottish prem. before joining Leicester. he would give us a creative spark and another deadball option.

  3. As a Norwich fan, James Maddison is the best player I've ever seen play for the club. Admittedly it can be said that "it's only Norwich" but the guy is breathtaking. Technically he's superb and always makes you stand on edge whenever he gets the ball. There are other players in that technical bracket for England but the most unique thing about him is his attitude. He wants to win. He makes differences in games he plays and takes decisive opportunities to score and create goals. If you go back and look at our season last year you can see the amount of times he scored from no hope type of areas to score winning goals. He's incredible.

  4. Will Hughes, Ward-Prowse, Chilwell, Maddison, Dem Gray, Callum Wilson, Andre Gray, Lewis Cook, Tom Davies, Grealish, Mount, Sessegnon, Sancho, Winks, Steve Cook, Jack Stephens are some of the best English players I can think of that have barely or never been picked for England who are all playing regular first team football to a degree at top or good level! People are picking certain “top” individuals who have a lot of competition in their club teams and then claiming from a couple of examples that English players aren’t getting enough game time. It’s utter nonsense!

  5. English people put so much value in "leadership" and "characters", which even spanish media has highlighted. in Spain, if you are talented you are talented, with a good manager you can accomplish things. In England it's all this talk about "they dont got any leaders out there" which Rio Ferdinand says after every God damned game. Thats basically all you hear in english football talk, in Spain and Italy the talks are way more different. it's talent and tactics, and they are not blinded by size and pshysics of players either, as they are in the UK. In England you need to be big, strong and a leader and have "good characters" In Spain you should be talented, have good tecnique, learn the game and study it. and maximize your understanding of the game and use the pitch and ball for your teams benefit. This "blood and honor" bs is getting so boring in england tbh. They need to start train diferenly because England needs magicians which comes once every 30 year lol.

It's not a coincidence that Spain (and South America) produces true masters of the game, creative players that can dictate the tempo of the game and control it. We rarely see this in England. And i mean extremly rarely. Scholes was the last and I cant see anyone even near that potential atm. To be, Lampard and Gerrard were not that type of player, but ofc they had very good quality.

  6. The problem is the Premiere League teams swooping up all the English talent and then not risking them in the first team. These good young English players need to drop down and play, then make your way back up.

  7. Maddison, Grealish, Foden, Angel Gomes, Dele Alli (when on form), Loftus Cheek, and a few more, England have some brilliant creative midfielders
