In this video, we delve into the latest news that West Ham United is scouting Jonathan David, a striker from Lille, once again. Despite the long-standing interest in David, who moved from Canada to Belgium in 2018 and has been consistently labelled as the next big thing in football, there are questions about the necessity and timing of further scouting. Join us as we explore the historical context of West Ham’s pursuit of David, his career trajectory, and why the club’s continued scouting might seem redundant. We’ll also discuss what Jonathan David could potentially bring to West Ham and whether it’s finally time to make a move.

  1. It makes my piss boil hearing about all these links to players when we're skint (apparently) £50 million according to the itk's be honest once we sign Kilman the cupboard is bare ok i know stop watching these channels 😂

  2. That would be a marque signing for a good fee a think a bidding war might there might be some bids might be going in for him.

  3. Here’s an idea, instead of “weighing our options up” that we hear all the time from the ITK’s , how about we actually go for the player we want, I know it’s a radical idea but 🤷‍♂️

  4. I would definitely want my scouting team to re-scout a player that we wanted 5/6 years ago.

    Agenda:
Why hasn’t another big club signed him?
Why is his current club not attempting to resign the player?
Can his French league form easily transfer to Prem?
Has he reached his peak level or could he develop further?

  5. I’m not convinced he’s the answer. Doesn’t judge me as a striker who can cope in a crowded box, with the fullbacks whipping in crosses, which is exactly how Loppy set his previous teams up to play. It’s got Javier Hernandez again written all over it.

If it’s an established forward we want then En-Nesyri is the answer in terms of the options from abroad.

  6. Why the wait? Well despite some people on this very channel bragging in the past that WHU is the 15th richest club in world football the facts say otherwise. We are lacking the proverbial pot in which to piss. And David, like any decent player will cost.

  7. Something about David doesn't sit right with me. He has an impressive goalscoring record but no one has ever been serious about signing him.

  8. Sorry i dont see it, he seems to be a fox in the box striker to me. I prefer En Nesyri, he is a better match for J-Lops system. If he really was the next big thing then why aint top teams lining up for him like Seehpu Guirassay?

  9. The difference this time is a different manager and a different way of playing and system and will he fit into this and the criteria now may be different than the Moyes era and obviously the club have had fingers burnt re strikers before for various reasons the problem may also be the other clubs who want him
