Ryan is very good but he’s not top. His footwork is a little suspect and his defense is not the best. The top guys will beat him.
WOuld have been interesting to see how Garcia would have responded had Duarte had actually landed something on his chin.
The slow manner in which he rose after the count reached 9, indicated Duarte was still under the effects of the punches. Someone with the faculties restored would have risen faster. That was not the fault of the ref. The rule is not whether you can continue after failing to beat the count of ten. It's whether you can rise to your feet before the Ref counts ten. Good call by the Ref. Duarte needs to face the truth and stop blaming the Ref for his failure to beat the count.

He is not ready. He needs more than one fight with lesser known before he can take that climb. He lucked out against a confused and perhaps over estimated opponent. Perhaps, Floyd can teach him other skill that he may need like not turning your back on your opponent to get sympathy from the referee.

I'm the biggest Cus D'amato and Teddy Atlas fan but Teddy doesn't give Ryan enough credit – Ryan is the best in his weight classes and one of the most talented fighters out there today period and Teddy treats him like he is a YouTuber with some boxing skills. Teddy respects the old school fighters who only box.
Ryan is just intelligent enough to also be up to date with the times including marketing, fame, fortune and where the boxing game is headed in 2024, not just another boxer slugging it out to make his management rich. Also Ryan didn't bring the drama his degenerate managers did so and Ryan should be commended for fighting for his rights INSTEAD Teddy undermines him almost as though he is defending his crooked managers. I thought Teddy was against Dirty business in boxing.
Ryan may just take out Tank Davis in their rematch, I pray to God he does, Ryan is a good guy who deserves to be a champ champ.
I would have said yes he's ready for those guys before he fought Tank. The Tank fight revealed that Garcia still needs to grow as a boxer in all aspects but he's also getting stronger, smarter and more mature. If he sticks with this trainer is a plus. A couple of fights and he's ready
