I thought Ben Chiwell was still injured but clearly he is not. I saw Ben play for England in the earlier friendly and he played exceptional well and I feel he is better player than Shaw (who I like) and he can play as left back or wing back and he can play as an inverted midfielder. It confirms Southgate is a complete idiot. Even if Shaw gets fit he won't be match fit so it's a stupid gamble (Forest Gump, stupid is as stupid does).

Not everyone needs to start every game. He has so much talent at his disposal but he’s not clever enough as a tactician to play with his squad. This idea that Foden, Bellingham, and Trent need to start every game is crazy. Most important thing is the balance of the squad.

If shaw is not brought to euro there will be debates why Southgate did not take the risk to bring shaw to the euros. If he's fit , he will be a very good addition to the squad. He was good in the past euros and world cup. That's why he took the risk. But again people will be questioning why shaw was not risked if he did not go to the euros.
