Those were the days ! Although the Three Lions with Rooney, Beckham, Scholes, Lampard &Co. never won the World Cup or the European Cup, they were definitely one of the best England teams of the past 30 years. At least they played to win, not just score a goal and try to defend for the rest of the match, like they do nowadays – always playing with the hand brake on. Southgate has a Ferrari but uses the team like a tractor.

An incredible lineup back then in the days when we could go toe to toe with any team. We had some bad luck in tournaments but at least could hold our heads high at the end.
