Here is my controversial opinion that nobody asked for. Bentancur will be sold or loaned after this season. Ange has a long history of supporting Asian players and he doesn’t tolerate this sort of stuff at all. He will definitely brush it off to the press but internally he will be seething. Bentancur had a very underwhelming return from injury under the big Australian last season. Yes, it was well publicized that he wouldn’t be back to his best until this season but now he has an even bigger hill to climb to win over Ange. And more importantly, gain his trust. I see Bentancur as being one of the surprise casualties of the Postecoglou era.
