If Southgate doesn't win the tournament with England he will struggle to get a job in the Premier League. If he can't win with World Class talent then he won't win anything with an average team. Scotland have to come out fighting, nothing to lose now, they were very poor in the first game & didn't help going down to 10 either!
Trent and Foden looked a bit lost. It is because they are playing out of their normal position. Foden more so than Trent imo. Someone with pace need to run in behind when Trent is on the ball. Saka was the only option. Kane lacks pace. So you definetely need it on the left wing.
Petit is spot on Southgate plays players out of position and hid tactics are baffling.
Southgate isn't a football manager, he's more like a VAT inspector…..charmless, boring and knows sweet FA about football.

Finally some one in the media can see its Southgate that is bottle necking our team and therefore our talent in players.

Trent is purely a passer, aireal, dribbling, 1v1 tackling ability is limited. However his vision and having the ability to deliver that from his minds eye into a real life situation is a gift.
Pirlo and Xavi were exact same players, but they could turn in tight spaces. My point is, if Pirlo and Xavi were not set up with and along side the CORRECT players, correct mentality and game plan they would have been found out.
Take xavi or Pirlo put them next to Rice…they don't do Jack in Southagates England team. For Trent to be able to deliver his best, he needs to be part of a 5 man midfield. 4 1 4 1 formation. Trent holding with Rice never to far away just infront next to Jude.
