In a move few saw coming, USMNT attacking midfielder Brendan Aaronson is very likely set to return to the Leeds United set up after positive talks with Daniel Farke!
I get into reasons why I believe this return is happening as well as the pros and cons of the move!

  2. His body type isnt the problem, his decision making in the final third is. We know he can go deep and break through their midfield lines with the ball, it’s the decision he makes immediately after that is usually the incorrect one. Still, the only real downside of giving him another chance at this lower level is that Farke could decide we don’t need a classic #10 now.

  3. Tbh, some decent shouts in the content, and having read several comments, I do understand why some fans would have him back, being as we'll be playing championship football next season. However imo, he isn't even good enough for the championship. And I'm sticking to my guns. I don't want to see any of those who jumped ship return. Maybe I'm just a stubborn old git set in my ways. Only time will tell. Cheers kagey, top man MOT

  4. I don’t mind Farke having a look at him in preseason. If he’s not up for it we’ve still time to shift him before the window closes.

But this is business only. If he is good at this level then if he hadn’t bolted last season we could well be in the premier league already.

  5. It would be the convo between him and his agent if he had a good season last year but Leeds would also be rubbing their hands together thinking they could get a good fee for him. It always always goes both ways. Loyalty is few and far between nowadays in football.

  6. Not for me regressive g forwards how can we b excited by this he didn’t want t stay so y now did nothing last season he will b same tumbling over slowing r game bad one for me but hope im wrong cos he is here

  7. Really hope we don’t rely on BA as our only attacking midfield option. Short sighted if so. From what I remember about him he’s erratic and likes falling over

  8. He needs sitting down and telling how it rollls in the championship. Glad hes tried to bulk himself up. He isnt a bad player, but like you say, needs to know, he stays on his feet, because we don't get penalties, and hes going to get kicked. He might surprise us.

  9. If we were to bring in rodon having we would have 3 quality cbs especially at this level and Wober could easily slot in/take over struijk when he gets his yearly injury. I would say I am hurt by how he left especially after what he said but it's more important to get promoted and he certainly has the quality for that. If not selling him after he had a good season can help with PSR so I think we might be in for a win win situation with Wober.

  10. The finances are the key to this move, its not to do with sentiment. We need to recoup on his transfer fee and on balance he could make a positive difference in the Championship

  11. I just think we couldn't sell him without losing too much money, so why not use him hoping he puts himself in the shop window

  12. I agree, he's got few options elsewhere so here we are with his return. If Farke sees something there let's see, I'm not jumping up and down like Tom Cruise did on Oprah's couch, just have to make the best of it now!

  13. Didn't you find he was too lightweight. Defenders blew at him and he would fall over. Now if Farke builds him and uses him better then yes. Sometimes players play better with different coaches.

  14. Give the lad a chance I thought us fans want someone who leaves everything on the pitch regardless of how elite he is and I think he does that

  15. I think there is a player in there, with good coaching he can improve. Farke improved James and Firpo. Aaronson is actually taller and a few kilos heavier than Summerville. It’s more about his choices and he can offer something different like running at defences in transition as he carries the ball well.

  16. Last season, several players improved under Farke. So I am open to see how Farke can transform Brendan. Attitude on the training pitch will be everything. If it doesn't happen, he won't get picked. Sits on the bench. What we have to lose? Farke would have looked at videos and was positive that he can do something with him. What do I know? If it was Brolin…I wouldn't be saying this 😅😅
