Women’s football is entertaining as hell. But it isn’t good football.
But I’m not going for the purpose of watching 2 teams pass it around the back controlling games. When I go to women’s football, I wanna see a 35yd weak shot bobble under the keepers foot. Chaos every game, love it.
Well I dont see my idols playing woman’s football and I like to see own goals from harry maguire not every woman player and men’s is just quality that’s why.
The way she started off I thought she was about to speak some real truth. In a sense she did. Unfortunately, she also conveniently avoided the most obvious reason WHY things are the way they are; THE MEN ARE BET-TER!
I used to play soccer, I don’t like women soccer, soccer is for men, i don’t even pay attention to female soccer, don’t exist for me, sorry, its my opinion, respect
Everyone's comments about quality is spot on! I live in Australia and the men's football/soccer here is garbage compared to big league such as premier or la liga.. It lacks quality poor plays sloppy touches and passes I'd much rather and do watch female football over men's a league football here.. Pure and simple comes down to the quality
If you can perform to the same level in all aspects then you can talk. My local team prob would beat your best friends in a game, keep that in mind. Should we take your spotlight? I mean…let's not be ridiculous. Go to the Olympics…what is your world record in almost anything compared with men? Yeah…exactly. not much to talk about at all is there?
A case in point is watching England women at the euros last year i thought i might as well watch it. With the mens this summer its like a second Christmas
It's not about seeing it as inferior. While the history of female Football can be traced to the late 1880's, unfortunately they suffered illegalization, banning, and many periods of discrimination. It wasn't until the 21st century really that is started getting popular. We need to recognize that nowadays it has become substantially popular in comparison to what it was.
But first division European clubs have been popular for over a century so it is very difficult to compare a much younger (as in being popular) category.
Also there is the obvious aspect of levels and categories. Second and third division Football is important and has a reason to be but it will never compete against the top tier because ultimately people want to see the strongest level of the competition. In that sense female Football is super important to develop athletes and different levels of competition and diverse competitions.
Hopefully it will just keep getting more and more popular. But for people who are just casual fans of the sport or those that only care to see the top players of top tier clubs or countries then they will tend to watch the male tournaments.
Analogy to basketball, all countries have basketball teams and many have basketball leagues, but most people only care to watch the NBA. Same thing.
Surely not every woman in football is that stupid to know it’s about the quality of the sport you’re watching. Let be honest, women’s football has come a long way in the last decade and I’m sure they’re getting paid more than the players before them. That’s how the evolution of sports happen. Women’s football one day may be to a closer quality to the men’s and they’ll be paid better than they were today. Look at tennis, boxing, mma, these sports have invested a lot in women and you can see the quality, certain teams are of a fairly decent standard today but let’s be real the 75/80% of the other teams are so below par, when you get better competition resulting in a better quality of match resulting in more people tuning in resulting in them getting paid more. The men footballers 10 years ago got paid less, 10 years before that they were paid less and so on and so on. The more they moan the longer its going to take.
Womens football have piggy backed men's sucess, training facilities, stadiums, social media following. Stadiums full of schools to gain attendance. Perform elite and the fans will follow.. standard is horrific
But even women like watching men's football, physicality, academies and facilities, how many Football fans know more than 20 women footballers. Also in my country and many more there is no women football.

Lets be honest the ladies teams get hammered by U18's boys teams. The level of football is embarrassing I would rather watch pub teams play.
Which generates more revenue, mens or womens football?
I'm not discriminating against 15 and 16 year olds by not watching their matches. It's not a hating the youth thing. The level is simply lower.
