if england keeps playing the same way they played against Serbia they will not win the Euros you can sugarcoat it however you want call it Southgate ball a solid defensive effort a great start to the tournament with three points in the first match but the truth is England basically defended for the entirety of the second half and flopped around on the ground wasting time it was ugly it was boring and it was against Serbia and yes England will progress past the group stage matches because their next two opponents are Denmark and Slovenia but as the opponents get tougher deeper into the competition the same way that they played against Serbia will get them absolutely slammed and I’m not even an England hater I like England I like English players but that was not good enough that type of performance will not get you close enough to even smell the trophy yet alone lifted mineus Dean rice and Jude Bellingham those two were class let’s see if anything changes

It's unfortunate that England have looked great on paper so many times. However, the reality has too often been disappointing. If they can get it together hopefully they will give the fans something to truly cheer about.
