Without a doubt, Eden Hazard is one of the most mesmerizing football players to take to the pitch in recent memory. Despite this, life in Madrid has been tough since his big money transfer.

But why is that?

What’s happened to him in recent years and how good was he before his move to the Spanish Capital?

  1. The impression I got for him now is only… maybe he should retire from professional football and become the Burger King ambassador.

  2. Another one of those useless players that had a few good games and get called great and then don’t do anything like Pogba!

  3. When you talked stats about how good a player is it’s ridiculous the stats don’t show who controls the game who controls the tempo who was involved in all the goals

  4. Unfortunately, he did not turn it around at Real. I think most would regard it as unlikely that he will ever be a star again. Perhaps the unwillingness to train hard, particularly in the off-season, and lack of commitment to excellence have caused him to fall rapidly from his peak. I have to say that while he was at Chelsea it never struck me that he was lazy or lacked industry.

  5. Most fouls during his time in England, soft tissue injuries piling on, with a quick twitch player like that once those start it's a wrap. He is older of course. Chelsea legend for sure, but i will be shocked if anyone sees glimpses of that consistent form.

  6. While Messi and Ronaldo focussed on their career, Hazard focused on making fun of Raheem Sterling and Arsenal. Hazard and Rooney have one thing in common, hugely talented but early retirees

  7. Is sad that clubs used their players and do not give them the respect they deserve, even if he was lazy, he performed well beyond it, if it had not been for him, Chelsea would have never triumphed, in Spanish we said CHIQUITO PERO PICOSO, small in stature but grand in performance.

  8. Hazard ambition (lack of) and work ethic is the reasons for us not debating between him and Messi as the greatest players…. He’s the only player besides Messi I’ve seen that could dribble past half a team and put the ball in the back of the net with ease… what a player he was…
