Happy Birthday God bless you IGY. We want to build for success. But Levy builds for profit. We want to enjoy the good players at Tottenham. But we should always keep in the back of our heads. Its only a matter of time before levy sells to make a profit and buy a cheap replacement in hope of a future payday on the back of Tottenham and it's supporters . As long as Levy is around it will always be like that for us. Levy has no plan. In his head the only thinking is balance the books make a profit throw budget at things like cost of players and a manager and so on every think and hope it works out. What's the best manager we can get for our budget and the same for players. It's all cold and numbers and he is so full of him self and has no understanding of things and can't see things. Romero is intregal to any trophies we could ever hope to win so we cant afford to sell him. With that said, if we continue to aim for mediocrity with our transfer signings than itd BEST FOR THE PLAYER is just to leave and us cash in on him bc this attack cannot win us trophies.I thought Son shoudl have left during all the turmoil with Jose – not that I wanted to see him gone. But who makes record signings, has the guy play two minutes in 5 years, then releases them. Got to be up there with the worst signings in prem history.
The Romero thing, I know people will hate my opinion, I wouldnt be surprised if the rumours are coming in because the club has said they will allow it.
I dont think he is as important to us as some might have him. I dont know how long Ange will be around, but as long as he is, Romero probaably wouldnt be the priority to keep. Ange would want two VDV type players. Not saying you are going to be able to even get another VDV, I just mean that type. Its all because of the high line. If you are going to play that way, you need composure. You need speed ofcourse aswell, and you need someone who can read the game extremely well.
The composure and game reading, in my opinion, are Romeros weaknesses. He seemed to hold himself back well last season, but he will always have it in him, and teams know that, and will be trying to use it against him because of the high line we play.
I think we rely too heavily on VDV to mop things up because Romero doesnt read the game as well.
Look, he is a good defender, and in a system he might be one of the best. But if we are going to play the way the club is going, not saying they be trying to get rid, but they might have already identified that there would be a different preference.
Romero, VDV, Udogie will all be off if the club doesn't win trophies.
I dont want to talk about Tanguy Ndombele to be honest, I am annoyed, angry and gutted at the same time, All I kept thinking about is what could of been if Tanguy applied himself. When we first signed Tanguy I was happy as Larry because of what I saw of him in the champions league and at that time Tanguy was highly rated player.
Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world. We will be lucky to get another year out of Cuti. If you think about it hes an ideal RM player. Theyโve always had elite but nasty CBโs plus he a Spanish speaker. I wouldnโt begrudge the move if we get good money and heโs replaced.
