hello everybody and welcome to that’s football for the first watch long for the Euros in the Manchester studio and we have Poland versus the Netherlands I can’t wait we’ve got a brilliant day of football on that football today for the euros and I can’t wait to get into this game with tol who’s with me as well yeah buzzing buzzing looking forward to it Beth um we’ve got nland Poland today Denmark and Slovenia and then England of course later on obviously England is the big one later but we’re covering this game for you guys stick with us get all your comments in are you surprised about the lineups going to get in into that in a bit we’re going to do predictions we’re going to talk a little bit about the game of football today also predictions coming up to the England game later we’re going to get into it all and hopefully we’ll have an entertaining games on our hands I mean the Euro so far has been pretty entertaining and also the studio is looking incredible as well I have to give a shout out to Matt and bronwin for the graphics because they’ve got the studio looking very very good I’m very excited to be here we did the World Cup you weren’t here for that one no wasn’t here for that it was a let down in terms of England wasn’t it in in general we got to we got against France and we just couldn’t couldn’t do it but the Euros we’ve got another crack at it and you excited for that yeah but in terms of the squad I feel like looking at the squad we took to the World Cup I feel like it was more confident in that Squad than this squad um for me the big thing is there’s a big lack of experience in this squad and obviously he’s South get decid to go with the risk of taking the younger Lads because they’re performing in in the Premier League but for me you know performing in the Premier League every week and then going to the biggest stage in the world international football I just worry that some of these players they’re obviously going to be nervous but are they going to have the bottle to you know perform on the biggest stage I think greish is a good example I wouldn’t have left greish out of the England squad to be honest with you just because he’s been there and he’s done it he’s not going to you know I seriously doubt nerves are going to impact his performance and I just sorry to keep going about greish but like just leaving out of I know he plays for City Beth but he’s a Serial winner like he’s he just wins everything I know he’s playing for City but how can you leave out someone who’s winning that many trophies I don’t get it but no I I agree with you I I disagreed on on the leaving greish at home a lot of people won’t won’t be on board with that because I think a lot of people were frustrated that rashford was out of the squad but greish was in the squad and then greish ended up getting dropped it it’s an interesting one we after see how Anthony Gordon performs and obviously you have got the likes of Palmer and and and you know this forward and usually plays out wide for England so it’s an interesting one but I would have I would have taken greish personally but in terms of today’s game we’ll get on to England in a bit Poland versus the Netherlands who have you got your eyes on today so my eyes today around well to be honest if you look at the Netherlands team there’s so many players to pick from playing for Netherlands today there’s just quality all over the field um keep your eye on um Poland’s front line because obviously no Robert leowski who’s going to be the player to fill that Gap I thought PCH was going to play but he’s actually on the bench isn’t it um yeah so who’s going to be the player to fill in for lodowski obviously most capped polish player of all time I think it’s 152 app appearances and 150 appearances and then it’s 82 goals leading scorer for Poland as well um so obviously a massive massive Miss for Poland he’s on the bench though the people thought he wasn’t going to make the bench he’s recovering from a hamstring injury but he has made the bench so maybe maybe maybe maybe he could make an appearance I didn’t expect him because they said he was Austria yeah that’s it they were lining up to get back for Austria so I didn’t expect to see him today but we probably will see a little Cameo from him towards the end do you think a lot of people are writing Poland off in this game um yeah but it in terms of the quality on paper I mean you look at Netherlands and it is one of the most stacked lineups you’ll see in terms of uh the right up there with we talk about Spain have played Germany played both dominant but I think Netherlands haven’t been talked about as much as those teams but are definitely up there in terms of quality um I think Neverland’s could go far in this tournament to be honest with you Beth um just looking through the lineup then when we’ll go through the lineup properly in a minute but what just when we’ve had a quick glance over it then that’s a strong lineup I’m looking at the backline that’s got to be one of the most sturdy back lines out of all the teams in the tournament well I’m looking at who’s on the bench for them and d and vanen being on the bench I I think cada says it all I mean England could do with their Center back options yeah cuz that’s where that’s where we’re weak isn’t it like they’ve they’ve got some good players the Dutch they’ve got some they’ve got some they have got some good players and we’ve actually just found out as well anyone who’s United fans in the chat is that ericon ha will actually be on Dutch TV later as a comp like a pundit on the England game oh for the England game oh right right right so that’ll be dead exciting I might use my little VPN Surf Shack Surf Shack that we we might use that and switch over see what ericon ha has to say but everyone get your comments in what are your score predictions what are you feeling I’m going to go through the lineup now for the Netherlands cuz you were speaking about the the names that the Netherlands had that are quite exciting and you look at that backline again so you’ve got dunree it right back you’ve got d d d is your right side of Center back van djk on the left side obviously the captain Nathan a it left back I mean are you surprise that delit or anderen doesn’t make it in there into that back L uh I I do remember not long ago it was dect and Van djk that’s that was the uh that’s who Netherlands were oped him for um so I was a little bit surprised to see deis in their over delect but then again I don’t to be completely honest with you I’m not completely up to date with the Netherlands I don’t watch all the friendlies so may maybe that’s a thing they’ve been trying out going with d obviously he’s a more experienced Center back he’s been playing for Inter Milan for years um Nathan a at left back as well obviously we’ve seen him for for City hundreds of times very sturdy fullback converted fullback he obviously was a center back when he was at Bournemouth and he’s adapted to playing left back um and then dumri we know all about as well I think he might have been playing for inter as well I think um everyone’s known about dumre as one of the top class right backs in yor for a while now um yeah that back line I think obviously you talk about good teams being built from the back and in terms of looking at that back line you don’t there’s not one obvious um like when you look at like England’s backline for example you can pick aart and look at it and go well that could be a problem this could be a problem but with that netherland’s backline that’s sturdy as it gets yeah and their keeper as well has had a good campaign for Brighton yeah so that that I think I think the back line is quite sturdy he’s obviously very good at playing out from the back as well in that brighten sort of system then you look into the Midfield and they’ve got some good plays as well someone that sticks out to me is um Simmons yeah jav Sim shy Simmons he looks super talented super talented he’s someone that’s on everyone’s at the moment I mean a lot of people talk about the moal and obviously he’s further ahead of him but he’s definitely someone who is is super talented to keep an eye on then you’ve got depay obviously who I think he’s near enough netherland’s top goal scorer now or he’s close to it I think I’m pretty sure probably he’s been starting from for years hasn’t he yeah probably like near 10 years now eight years probably so obviously you’ve got gapo on the left there but the terms of they’re not playing with like an out andout Striker depai is obviously very very versatile but they do have xery on the bench who’s just been called up obviously got that 34 million release cause a lot of clubs interested in Milan is obviously interested in Manchester United are interested in him apparently Arsenal have been looking as well so this could be a place where he can sort of make his Mark especially considering you know he’s only just been called up obviously depai is huge for the Netherlands but you know if you want to go for a slightly different approach if he comes off the bench and he does really well he could like make his Mark to the whole world really well that’s what you get with International Football the one that sticks out to me is like hamus Rodriguez in the in the in the the world Cup in 2014 um there’s always a player isn’t there were andat andat in the world there’s always someone isn’t there where they they they use international football to make the mark on the world scene they end up getting the they end up getting the big transfer off the back of an International Tournament we see that all the time um zvi shimmons could be that player actually when you think about it he kind of fits that profile of player where he’s like a young upcoming player where he’s like not quite made it to the uh he’s not quite at the top of International Football European football football sorry but this could be the Catalyst this tournament could be the thing that really moves him on um just a quick one Frankie dong is he is he on the bench Young’s injured he’s had to go is he injured yeah he know that that’s news to me that’s a big loss apparently he was he was trying to stay fit for it but he just he just couldn’t get there so Frankie D young will be a big loss but do you know what there is some midfielders in in the Dutch side that I think could step in and have good have good tournament genie on the bench as well they’ve got a really strong Squad daily blint as well they’ got a really strong I mean blint it feels like blint has been going for years well do you know what he’s another player whereit let him go too soon in my opinion yeah but he’s another player where it was the 2014 World Cup where he kind of came on the scene and then United signed him off the back of that world cup yeah I mean there’s always going to be someone I mean I remember gakpo in the World Cup last time yeah it was before he signed for Liverpool I know United were quite interested at the time it looked like we were going to get him at a point yeah we’re United fans and I thought he played really well in that time and I really liked him and I was open to it and then he ended up signing for Liverpool and I’m not going to lie like gap’s all right but he’s I’m I’m not go signing I don’t think he’s like sometimes International Football can fool you as well with certain players like you can get sold on him and then it comes to Club level and you’re like yeah where was the guy that I saw sometimes sometimes it’s like they just play this occasion it’s like they were born just to play this occasion and then that’s it that’s all they ever do but then there’s other players that are like the opposite for example foden for his Club yeah is insane like foden for player of the Season absolutely insane he’s not really turned it on for England yet yeah yeah so you have players that can kind of go either way I was hoping this tournament to be honest with you was going to be all about Phil Fen I was really hoping they just say off the back of the Season that folden Z they build the team around F and play F in the 10 and they work around that because he is that good like he genuinely is that good and this is like the first season for City where we’ve seen him consistently all year long playing his position in the 10 not be pushed out on the wing and he performs every single time so I think it’s extremely harsh if he doesn’t get in over hearing maybe Trent in the Midfield which I think Trent in the Midfield against Serbia isn’t a big deal I think against France Spain Germany and Netherlands that could be picked apart at and like I said I’m not overly fussed about him starting in Midfield against Serbia but I also think just start as you mean to go on just pick your your 11 pick your the 11 in your first game as the same 11 you’d pick in your final do you know what I mean well well this is I do get you and it will be interesting to see it is being said that Trent is going to start in Midfield I mean a lot of people were saying kobby Mayu should be starting instead I think Phil foden again is I don’t think he’s going to be trusted by South Kake to play that 10 which a lot of people want wanted him to do I think he will be playing off the off the wide yeah positions again which is I’d like to see Fen in the I was always saying me personally as much as I love Mayu and and I mean I’d be happy for him to play I would like to play you know rice Bellingham and then either a foden or a Palmer in that 10 R be a bit more creative rice Bellingham folden is the obvious like in terms of quality you can put that Midfield out and comfortably say that could be the best Midfield of the tournament um is it is it maybe a case of like you know if you look at our left wing options you know like we’ve got Anthony Gordon There is almost the case of like trying to build out the quality of the entire team you can put foden out on the left and then you can kind of get a midfielder of obviously not as good as foden but a still quality midfielder in the and then kind of balance out the team a bit more but I just think just play your your best players in their position and because your best players will just win you the games I mean if you’ve got Harry Kane on form and Phil foden on form they could go and win you the tournament by themselves and obviously Jude Bellingham we not even spoke about Bellingham that it could be a massive tournament for him just won the Champions League um and what season could be for him to go win the Champions League’s first year at Royale and then go go far in the eurs with England potentially win it that’ll be some season for a 20 yearold that especially when you’re looking at Bell Andor I mean obviously people think venicius junior is going to win it and I would say personally I think venicius Jun should win it but if Bingham absolutely kills it in this tournament England end up winning the AOS like you know it depends what happens with Brazil obviously in CER CER America but it’ll be interesting I mean got some comments coming in get your comments in by the way we want to really make it really interactive any questions that you’ve got fire them across I know a lot of people are tables of six on the be Gard the so excited where are you watching the England game tonight no idea I’m not decided yet yeah I think I’m watching with my dad for Father’s Day but I feel like I need to I need to go to the pub for the first England game and but got some got some comments coming in the chat mkf says in my opinion Netherlands Squad better suits a 352 formation I mean yeah that’s something that you could talk about actually because frong unbelievable season for L say as much as Mark tells me can play right back in a back four in the Premier League I’m not sold on it personally he suits a back five so well as a wing back personally I mean my brother was saying we should have signed we should sign him as a right winger if we can’t get a Lisa I’ve heard people say that too 34 mil you know going forward he’s actually really really good but in terms of like he’s having he’s had a cracking season for lusen dumphrey he’s obviously a really good right back but he’s getting on a little bit now I he’s always played really well for the Netherlands I remember a few tournaments ago he had he had a crazy good euros and everyone was saying you know United should have signed him he just never ended up happening actually came out in the news the other day that when tenh initially came in he wanted to sell Dow and bring Dum freezing which really I’m glad that didn’t happen that’s interesting isn’t it but Fring pong like you know that’s a way you get him into that system he’s playing that back five and it’s interesting to think that they’re still going with that back four yeah well I think I think dumre himself has also played um right win back in a back five and then it also kind of touches on what we were talking about before with you know in an international not just an International Tournament but a tournament of any ilk it’s it’s important to have players with experience and don’t has played in the the World Cup and he’s played in the Euros already so I think you know it goes a long way that having players who’ve been there before exper yeah I mean going into a for your first time I mean it’s the same time as going into anything for the first time you’re naturally going to have that that you’re going to have the nerves and and if you’re nervous you’re just not going to play how you want to play whereas if you’ve got a player there who you know what maybe isn’t in as in As Good form but they’ve been there before they’re going to know how to deal with the the the nerves the emotions that can be a better decision because the you know the emotions and the nerves aren’t going to Cloud any judgments not going to get in the way of the performance do know what I’m just looking sorry I’m watching the TV here I’m just looking at that bench for Netherland and they have a better Squad I thought you in terms of a back five system as well you’d be able to fit in another Center back there so orand yeah uh it’s just who would play you know left wing back but you know it’s I think AK is brilliant on the ball obviously a can play in a back three on in terms of three center backs as well so I mean I think that would suit him to be honest with you I think that would suit him especially considering the the not opting to play with like an out and out Striker you know having that two up front as well could could help in terms of the balance you know a GP and pie but you know V host I spotted Vost then I was going to mention him yeah do you remember his Infamous goal against ARA that’s what I was Lally going to say arent veos against Argentina I me that’s all I was talking about when United got him on loan I was like remember the Argentina goal honestly I mean we’ve got a poll going in the chat um who wins the game today Poland still kind of optimistic but I I feel like there’s always an upset in the international games and Germany have done their diligence and just battered Scot Spain have done the same so it’s like there’s always a team where you know doesn’t perform um you know kind of doesn’t meet expectations but then again looking at the Netherland Squad now I mean especially looking at the bench even if they’re not performing they can bring on half a new lineup and probably get an entirely different performance out of him so uh a win’s obviously very likely but it’d be nice to see a close game of football interesting that Matt who does the graphics the brilliant Graphics here obviously he’s he’s from Scotland he said when frong was at Celtic he played in the back four really well really but obviously that was many many years ago now I mean something to watch out for I personally don’t know if he could hack the physicality in a back four in the Premier League but you know you never know he might I I just worry about you know United’s backline at the moment I mean we had negative goal difference in the league it’s like are you really going to risk chucking and unproven you know he’s not played in the Premier League before and it’s not his favorite position played right all Seas there’s two complete different factors there where it could go wrong is is like are you going to Chuck that into a backline which is already in negative goal difference it’s a massive risk I mean talk about Poland a little bit is there anyone from Poland that you are kind of looking at yeah so kibo which obviously we watched loads in for Arsenal did a good job didn’t he yeah obviously Arsenal didn’t win anything this season but it was a good Premier League campaign how many point they were like two points behind City or something like that K and he filled in really well didn’t yeah Kio started the majority of the games I know um Tommy Tom Tommy assu that’s it I know Tommy assu played some of the games at left back but I think for the vast majority of them it was Kio um fairly young think he’s like 23 24 something like that Center back slash slash left back but more of more of a center back really but he played left back for Arsenal it’s similar to like Ben White isn’t it Ben White doing the same thing for Arsenal and then obviously you’ve got Z zalinski from napol who obviously plays in Midfield for Napoli which he’s one to watch out for I’ve seen a couple people in the chat already saying that that they think zilinski is one to watch yeah that’s you played to watch today zinsky in terms of quality he’s been playing at top level in Europe for a while now so he’s obviously uh if there’s going to be a little moment of magic could pass um you know a nice sh we’ve seen a few goals from outside the box actually already this your R he can definitely do that so that’s one to keep your eye out on eye out for it’ be interesting to see though who is going to be Poland’s real goal scoring threat you know without leowski being in the team that they really relied on him for the goalss in the past how many years who’s going to fill that Gap now or is anybody going to fill that Gap and they’re not going to be able to fill that Gap at all yeah I mean it will be interesting in terms of your score prediction what are you going for I said 2-1 on me story it was Pro yeah I’m going to stick with 2-1 just because I want to see a good close game of football similar to Italy Albania yesterday I want I want to see Poland give Netherlands a run for the money so we go with 2-1 Netherlands then a lot of people are pointing out I don’t I don’t want to butcher the names when it comes to the Poland team Sheet I’m looking at and I’m thinking be I’m literally getting clipped up here left right or zki zisi I’m going to say zesi Z zesi obviously he is playing for Roma and he’s only 22 and a lot of people in the comments are saying he’s one to watch really talented I’ve not seen too much of him to be honest with you he’s playing on the wing today for Poland um but obviously can play well so he’s playing as a wing back for Poland so he can play is a wing back or or or a fullback yeah and someone that we that’s to watch according to a lot of people in the chat not seeing loads of him at all to be honest with you so that’s someone that I could be keeping an eye on and you know what I do you know what I loved as well about the World Cup when I was doing the watch along alongs last time because I don’t claim to know everything about every player in Europe obviously there is European teams I watch more than others specifically champions league and Europa League teams and obviously teams that have plays in that I like for example watch more more of nce this season because tbo’s there we’ve been to TBO leus obviously has been linting up you know what you watch a lot of lusen but there’s players in these tournaments that you end up watching that you wouldn’t have really watched much before and you get to know them a lot better so that’s one thing I love about you know International competitions as well is you watch so many players that you wouldn’t usually really become familiar with quality players who you’ve never really got to have a proper look at before yeah and that’s something that’s exciting so what was your scar prediction again it was two1 to Netherlands two1 to Netherlands I’m going with 3-0 to Netherlands they’re just coming out the tunnel Al now actually everyone when I said 3-0 to the Netherlands on on Twitter earlier everyone was saying that I was underestimating Poland so maybe I am but I just think leowski is such a frat that’s what I was going to say it’s that question of who’s going to score the who’s going to get a goal for Poland now without ladowska oh we’ve got a comment in from XG mine saying alansky from bologna I’ve heard about him as well zilinski from inter and zisi from Roma watch them dismantle the Dutch Midfield interesting stuff I mean there’ll be people in this chat that literally you know have watched a lot of these players so probably know more than what what we do as well so definitely take notice of the chat as well somebody’s told me how to pronounce name excited that comment actually I’m getting quite excited for it now it’s zel zeles that’s it and if anyone remembers the if anyone anyway because these are the teams I think are going to do well so I’ve got Portugal as my winners all right okay I’ve got Portugal as my winners for the auros but I do think Germany are a massive shout massive massive shout I did have them as my Runners up but apparently they can’t be together in the final so if not i’ probably go with maybe France then as the runners up yeah if that works on the on on that side of the group so I’d go with winners Portugal Runners up France but Germany and massive wants to watch I’ve gone dark horses Denmark yeah later on they’ll be on Highland watch we’ll be looking at that top scorer I’ve gone mbappe okay player of the Todman I’ve gone with Bruno Fernandez okay maybe that’s absolute bias coming into play I like that young player of the tman I’ve gone with moala and under performers I’ve said I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling England yeah that that back line me scary scares me a bit and everyone’s expecting us to win and I just don’t I just don’t know if you have it in us personally just a general I hope we do I hope we win so badly but I’m just not that confident so I’m going for for winners I think it’s going to be Germany I think being on home soil makes a massive massive difference nelman as coach is just a cheat code as well he should be an international coach he’s a high level Club manager top coach top Squad and then to top that off with playing on home soil as well I think the playing on home soil just makes such a huge difference you not got to you not got to adjust to any climate CH like going to different playing to a different country different climate um you’re just in the general atmosphere that you used to so I think Germany I mean winners me runers up if if it’s possible if can be on the same side tournament it’s kind of tell everyone what bet you’ve gone yeah I’ll get into but Rasmus irand in this Euros is kind of giving me Cristiano Ronaldo Euro 2006 vibes feel like he’s just going to absolutely rip this tournament up and then come back to United as a world class player but could be in Dreamland I have actually got a bet on Rasmus Island top scorer so there is me uh my top scorer one for you I’ve got Rasmus Island as my top scorer I’m just I’m just fancying a Highland at trick today be I can’t lie I really fancy in a hland actually I mean I’d absolutely love it like I said it’s based off if you remember when United signed irand everyone was banging on about his goal record for Denmark he had a really good record for Denmark it was like I don’t know it was like five goals in three games or something like that and that’s all everyone was talking about so for do you know what I’ll take oand at 40 to1 um play with the tournament I’m going to go with muala okay well you’ve gone with him as young player but could have ver young player to be fair ver I just think watching muala for Germany I know he against Scotland it’s not the greatest opposition but he was incredible like seriously incredible and we know how good he is anyway we’ve seen him before and we’ve seen him at the last euros and s him playing for uh for Bayern as well so yeah I want to go with him but I feel like he’s going to end up being the Young The Young player isn’t it that’s usually what they do like if they’re young enough they usually just shift them shift it onto the they can someone else yeah so they can make room for somebody else let me think when me play with a tournament then what other the teams are though could have you could have Bellingham yeah do you know what we play the tournament I’m going to go Phil fodm okay so you think think he’ll step up for England this time yeah I think I think he will get the chance to play in the 10 event I think it will happen I don’t think it’s unusual to play I don’t think South G will do it I don’t think it’s unusual to play a slightly different team in your first game for what you’re going to end up playing um so I’m Netherlands honestly got bailed out there by Weghorst. They were not clinical in front of goal and were almost punished for it. Poland played well but Verbruggen was too good. Aké crucial in both goals. Xavi was class as well as Gakpo and Depay. I said Netherlands need a world class striker and this is why.
