well England’s campaign as we know kicks off tomorrow night against Serbia in gelsen Kirk and our senior reporter Tim Thornton caught up with the former Red Star Belgrade manager Alexander Yankovich to find out more about the challenge that awaits so here we are in the sunshine in Belgrade ahead of England against Serbia at the European championships how difficult will it be for England and how far can Serbia go about how far Serbia can go nobody can can can say because you know with the Serbian uh Team it’s always about inspiration the moment of inspiration with lot of individual qualities uh we have a very uh important precious experience in Qatar in World Cup about managing the the game Tempo not to open games too much to control the pace to control the tempo to play with the experience we have so uh the conclusions we take from these games should serve us to play uh much more mature Euro and the first game first game is against England England in my eyes is uh uh one of the candidates for the trophy for the title England is a team has everything as a young players already experienced uh uh incredible individual quality team uh Team strength also strategy and uh experience and also even these young players such as Bellingham or even Saka and for many many many top players they already played uh two big competitions together in in national team World Cup they reach the quarterfinals and uh the last Euro also they reach finals it this is the precious experience for them also so for me England is one of the candidates uh main candidates with France for the trophy and uh for Serbia Serbia will always play to reach The Knockout stage that’s the first Target and after to proceed step by step Serbia can do a lot with individual qualities Serbia has to work as all the Balkan teams Eastern European teams on the Tactical discipline and maintaining the same level for 19 minutes and repeating that 3 days later and again and again and if we arrive to manage this uh nobody can predict uh where is the final uh destination for Serbian team during this Euro what are the big strengths of this Serbian team Serbian team will always be unpredictable and uh with lot of individual qualities players capable making difference any moment so even sometimes without having possession without having control we can be dangerous if we score goals that’s a big quality we have players with a with a lot of experience players like Tadich Captain former Southampton player and the Mich and the Ser milinkovic they bring quality they bring pure quality in this offensive part and this uh uh ball possession part but uh what we have to improve of course like most of Eastern European teams is tactical discipline maintaining the same Focus same level of energy concentration during the game not to have ups and downs these ups and downs were too expens expensive for us during the World Cup and the conclusions we took after these games against Switzerland and Cameroon in World Cup should U uh be very play very important role in preparation of England game [Music]
