People still making excuses for Foden. He’s never performed for England and relies on forgeign stars around him at city. Think England team works better without him

He's naturally the best player England will ever have. He's going to play A LOT. Do you guys create an itinerary of trying to launch controversial conversation points just for the sake of trying to make the build up to the tournament more interesting?

The thing is is that you sort of have to choose him or Jude, and you really shouldn’t be picking him over Jude. Rice needs someone next to him to help with the defense.
So garret is the reason Kane plays well or saka playing well Foden is over hype stop, he is a system player for international he have to show your talent, Kane and saka does that consistently
Foden NEEDS freedom to show up anywhere across the front line. He is literally NEVER given that ability from England. I don't get why England fans don't want Foden to succeed they just want to write him off. If people aren't careful he'll retire early like Scholes, and England fans would deserve it for the abuse. Also Palmer won't give you crazy goals for England because Kane takes the pens.

He was taken off because Grealish was in great form and Saka also wormed his way into the starting team by the latter stages of the tournament as he was still playing LW then.

Foden likes to give and go quick 1 2 passes and receive the ball in tight spaces like he does for city because they all trust each other on the ball.
You could see it in the Iceland game where he wanted to receive the ball quicker and In tighter areas where he could release it. However England don’t play like that, well especially last game.
They were looking for conservative passes and holding on the ball too long and felt slow and lethargic, not only that kane was coming in too deep, where foden likes to come in and receive the ball.
I think either England needs to speed up there play and be a bit more adventurous with their passing, just like when Trent came on. Or foden needs to play in a different position and adapt. Or doesn’t get into the team.
At the minute it’s like they are clashing in styles of play. Maybe as the tournament progresses they might trust each other on the ball.
The would you take X player off debate is why we’ve watched England lose the euro final and get knocked out of the World Cup against France, just watching to see if something happens instead of changing the game.

I don't know why English media can't understand that Foden is a system player he can't play well for england national team as he play in the Pep system just looking at Bernardo Silva & Ruben Dias in Portugal they're the big example 🤷
Best performance I've see from Foden in England shirt was at the world cup against Senegal. Started the move for the first goal and then 2 assists. Unfortunately the rest of his performances have been a bit meh. But his output this season, in terms of goals, has doubled since then so hopefully we will see some more of what he can do.
🤦♂️ Foden isn’t a winger to begin with, Southgate needs to stop playing Kane as a 10/9 … just play Phil as a 10 and let’s see how it goes

Not sure why Foden is singled out for international form. No one performs for England like they do for their clubs. All of Saka, Kane, Bellingham have yet to be consistently great. Southgate doesn't know how to coach greatness. What we do know is Foden is much better than the rest in his position.

Foden doesn’t have to play , that’s just the general opinion. Saka is the most important England player and has been for them over the last 3 years. Foden probably hurts this England team if he was to start out of position

You have saka, on the wing and grealish on the other and plenty of movement and pace foden will pull the strings. Should of brought rashford as well. Foden is the only player that will receive the ball under pressure in the final third turn and look forward. Otherwise we are going sideways and backwards in another boring England team. I’ve never seen an English player want the ball so much and he never hides. If you watch him he is always asking for the ball. You have to make it work with the players around him and he will light it up.
The Iceland game we had no width he crammed the middle with kane, palmer and Foden. There was no space to play. Not only did it nullify Foden. It nullified England as a team.
