My boys started asking me why there was so much PRIDE references inside the stadium. It was all around the pitch, on the scoreboards, and on the USA logo and in the uniform numbers. I didn’t have a good answer for them other than to say that US soccer was trying to be more inclusive. But if I’m being honest, I don’t understand what in the hell it has to do with soccer. We also commemorated memorial day a couple weeks ago, and yet there was no references to US soldiers or commemorating fallen heroes. There was no showing of support for any particular embattled nation involved in a war currently. There are hundreds of other social causes that US soccer does not feel obliged to represent. I watched the highlights from the Brazil/Mexico friendly and the Argentina/Ecuador friendly, and there was no pride logo or decorations to be found. I am all for soccer having a big tent that is welcome to everyone, but I don’t know why we have to go above and beyond to plaster pride flags all over the place. It is simply a soccer match, I don’t feel the need for my national soccer team to take a social stance on any particular subject.
It’s supposed to be: “Look good, feel good, play good”…. Not: “Look gay, feel gay, play gay”
Stop thinking about representation. Wear your shirt with pride! Thats what Conmebol teams do. The 🌈 in the back is not the problem, good they can celebrate diversity there, many countries around the world are pretty dangerous for them and they should know it….. The attitude you play with is what matters,, and the pride you feel for your country

It was at least 80% Colombia fans in the stadium! A sea of yellow! As a Colombia fan I expected a tough battle and was pretty surprised at the lack of US attack. Not sure what exactly their identity is on offense.
Awful turnovers. Awful defensive marking by runs made from midfield. Tactically, not covering with two on the corner, and then standing around watching the ball bounce in your 18yd box. Give Columbia credit for the dismantling, but the turnovers instantly resulting in odd-man rushes and goals. You just can't do that and hope to compete at this level. The US was not ready for this.
