Gareth Southgate and captain Harry Kane answer a question from the Liverpool ECHO’s Theo Squires about what Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson will bring to the England squad at Euro 2020.
Henderson has only played 45 minutes of football since February following injury and was an unused substitute in England’s 1-0 win over Croatia at Wembley on Sunday.
Before the tournament former Manchester United man Roy Keane called Henderson’s call-up to Southgate’s squad as a ‘distraction’.
Southgate and Kane were speaking at a press conference to preview England v Scotland at Wembley on Sunday.

I Just think it was disgusting taking Hendo's captains armband off him he has a million times more experience than Harry & he has been there done everything & won everything now what has Kane won where is his captaincy winning trophys from all over the world absolutely nowhere Kane hasn't even won anything at home never mind Europe or further a field..Talking about the match today there was one player on the pitch out of the two countries that play's for Liverpool & that was ROBBO & he was the best by far ..England & southgate bottled it that was a shocking performance & one of the worst I have ever seen there was no team work & no real set plan!!

As a united fan, I think hendo needs to be there. He's a real leader that's won the biggest trophies and played in some collosal pressure matches.
