As Trent can cover 2 positions, there definatly room for him as he’s versatile, but should he start? No.

Playing Rice as the holding midfielder isn’t ideal. Mainoo alongside him helps a lot with ball progression.

Rory, are you a fool mate… The reason England haven’t lifted a trophy in 50 + years is because they don’t play to their strengths. England need to have an attacking style of play with the amount of talented attacking players. Trent should be starting in the euros, if he doesn’t play I guarantee that England will bow out again.

kane has been the "curse" wherever he went to.. is it curse or having a nine all the way in halfway line makes it harder to threat or perdictable attacks?
maybe trent watkins combo could work the defense but theres palmer, belingham or foden to thread to saka or watkins?

According to Rory there's no room for trent but yet he put palmer in on the left when he plays from the right lol. Palmer was played out of position on Monday but didn't look convincing at all. Even his penalty really should've been saved by the keeper. Looked really nervy and inexperienced which you need at the top international level
Jack Grealish should play on the left, he doesn’t lose the ball, he wins free kicks, he get us up the pitch with control. His understudy should be Gordon. Saka on the right understudied by Palmer. Trent right understudied by Walker, he can create five chances for every one he might concede. Shaw left back or Gomez if shaw isn’t fit. Rice, Bellingham, Foden in midfield to start, and Kane upfront. Centre backs should be Stones and Branthwaite. And in goal should be Joe Hart. Sorted!!!!

Tbh 9/11 of the England team picks itself. Pickford in goal, Walker Right back, Maguire and Stones Cb (some discussion around Maguire but he’s in decent form and like who else? Guehi and Branthwaite are quality but too inexperienced and won’t dislodge Maguire.) Then in midfield we will have 2 more deeper mids, one being Rice. Bellingham will then be in the 10 role with Saka, Foden Kane upfront. The 2 discussions then are left back and the second central mid. If fit, obviously should be Shaw, but could TAA take that role? I’d rather ham him there over Trippier. The mid role is very much up for grabs. TAA, Wharton, Mainoo and Gallagher all have a claim there. Equally could play Bellingham deeper and Palmer or even Eze in the 10. For me I think I’d shove TAA left back, maybe then give Gallagher the other slot.
I don’t think Rory knows Bellingham’s position he won’t play beside rice he will be our ten with foden to the left. So it’s mainoo Trent or Gallagher in that position ?
If you do the opposite of what Rory says, you can’t go far wrong. He tries to be divisive like Adrian Durham, unfortunately he’s just clueless.
Trent is the best player we have for playing those balls through from deep that will win us games in a tournament. Not to take him will be suicidal. He can also shoot, by the way. Palmer is not the answer. Midfield of Trent, Bellingham, Rice. Front line of Foden Saka and Kane. Seems simple to me that this would be a great starting line up.

One of the most stupid observations I have seen. Why would you leave out a player that can play in multiple positions. Get this 🤡 off the radio.
You can Fit him in a 3-2-4-1 with him as a double pivot with rice. Other option which is possible is put Walker as a CB next to Stones then have TAA as RB.
Stick walker CB next to Stones and TAA as RB. That covers the pace dimemma at the back and also allow stones to step up into midfield when need be
