  1. Tom, could you do a SWOT analysis of our player for next season, during this lull. Probably get some experts as well to get some views on it as well. Thanks.

  2. It’s all fake news. Arsenal are not working on any striker at the moment but there are discussions internally according to Fabrizio Romano.

  3. “You feel like you have to take the risk to try something new.” Did you just liken Benjamin Sesko to Nandos warm chocolate pudding, Tom?😂

  4. Edu and Mikel already know who they want and I know they are working on them already. They should make good use of this transfer and sign better not just marquee signings. £200m can be well spent on 4 to 5 players rather than 1 marquee signing plus two others. I believe We will start seeing results in our transfer very soon.

Sesko (£45m-£50m) is a good name for the forward and bakayoko (£40m) will be a very good signing, offering a huge competition for saka on the RW position. Kadioglu (£30m) can be added for his versatility as well. We can add Fofana (£30m) to join up the midfield and add a good defender maybe hato(£35m) or diomande (£55m) or guehi(£40m).

Then sell very well. If we can get up to 100m from players sales then we are good

  5. My rebuttal to the Victor Ossimen take:

Do I think VO is worth £110M. No! Do I think he is worth £85M to £75M for Arsenal. Yes!

This gets ‘nerdy’ but it is about central treat that draws the opposition defence in towards the box and away from the likes of O8 & BS7.

Remember we are at the level where it is not about scoring 22 goals & getting the golden boot (Auba did that).
It is about turning NewCastle (A), Villa (H)(A), Bayern (H) from draws/losses. To one more goal result. (BTW, H v Bayern we conceded 2 shots on targets (including penaltys & we drew 2-2 how frustratingly unlucky) There, I see the value, especially because I’ve heard his off ball work is excellent.

To say that it’s not guaranteed is a mute point imo. Same could never said about Haverts & Gabby G (both were on a Goals rate of +20 for half a season as a ST). Also Havertz had his second most clinical season with us after 3 years of not doing well. It’s probable if not likely that our ST will do well if we feel like we have to spend $ on one

Thing is we don’t beat Everton in GW38 If Havertz was not in form but we clearly still want a ST.

Point is I see the value of VO. Even if he is slightly over priced. Btw imo white, Havertz, Ramsdale & Raya were all overpriced at the time but proved their value.

We need to win more scrappy games/ have less and a ST wins you more scrappy games and isn’t the reason why you have them for the most part (that is the Midfield).

I’m happy with Sesko. I want Gyokeres but I can see how VO works well.

Side note: I can see us playing with a double inverted Fb system with effectively 2 strikers with Havertz on the pitch with our midfields being more attacking oriented to counter the mid/low blocks. Especially if timber is fit.

  6. I am a bit concerned about Sesko’s low pass completion. I think our players have to have pass accuracy as their main trait in every position. Also, only 2 assists – is a worrying sign, unless Mikel coaches him to improve in both aspects. Gyokeres looks good in all aspects and his stats are amazing.

  7. Osimhen is hyped up for the last couple of years. I agree with Tom – I actually never rated him, from the games I saw both for Napoli and Nigeria he never did anything and left me unimpressed. No no no.

  8. My problem with analytics is it can’t predict the future. It’s pointless looking at Osimhen at Napoli because under Arteta he would be 🔥🔥🔥. All we need to do is look at Havertz

  9. We won't know to be honest we would fundamentally change how we play however I do think he would win more duels than Kai just watching him vs prem opposition Liverpool and Leicester in European competitions I do think recency bias has skewed the view of him but I would say right now sesko suits us to the path we have going forward

Saw Charles Watts and team news said we would have had kudus last year if we could have got our PSR fixed I suspect he would have played along the front line and midfield had we gotten him do you think we would go back in for him

  10. Oshimen won the league alone along with kava sesko is coming off the bench 😂😂😂 oshimen has scored 20+ the only thing about him is that gets injured a lot but he is our modern day version of drogba. Oshimen may not look as clean on the ball as most strikers but his work rate is phenomenal constantly makes runs , good positioning, clinical scores bizzar goals from crazy angles, one of the best strikers in the air, amazing fox in the box and very fast 💨

  11. Desire doue is a must get this transfer window defo going to be one of the best in world in couple of years he will be 100 mil plus before he becomes 23/24. This kid is new Neymar if you ask me and can play so many different positions for £30/40 mil edu needs make this happen

  12. I think f Viera is an odegaard understudy. I remember much being made of him as a great passer and hardworking. Also ESR

  13. I'd rather Sesko personally, think being young he can come of the bench and take time to learn. And the price tag is doable for us

  14. Hello Tom, I think the profile of Osimhen is very much what we are missing in our front line. We need a box presence that is both an aerial target for halfspace crossing and can dominate the 6-yard box with movement. But also be willing to do the out of the possession work that makes Arteta’s system tick. However, I would be very happy with either Sesko or Osimhen. Very encouraged by the recent rumors.

  15. Arsenal transfer strategy, pick a random scrabble tile, end up with letter O. Okay, we have Odegaard, who else? Osimhen. Good. Onana. Better. Olise. Oh yeah!

  16. Don't understand your osimhen comments tom. Isn't discounting osimhen because of only one season with 20+ goals but considering sesko as moving the needle inspite of of him NEVER scoring 20 goals in a single season bit unfair on osimhen?

  17. THAT’S IT TOM, you’ve got me… you’ve mentioned this Choc-o-lot cake enough times that I’m now making a plan to go to the Chicago Nando’s this week and try it out. If it’s not as good as you say, I am unsubscribing and cancelling my TGT membership!!! 🤣🤣
