I'd argue he should retire with us, hear me out… When he is for he is the heartbeat of that Arsenal midfield a world beater, on top of that he's getting towards the latter stages of his career and he's very injury prone how much could we actually sell him for that would be of equal value (or more) to any player that could potentially replace him… Therefore keep him.
I would love to keep him, but I would also like a younger player in as an understudy so he can graduately take over.
He’s been the difference in the team these past two games he’s played. He’s calm. Barely loses the ball and can keep his positioning really well. He’s a true 6. If he would’ve played against Bayern we win both of those games easily.

Can someone explain exactly why it took so long for him to be in his proper spot as a 6 this year? Like they had him at LB a few games? Was it because they bought Rice and didn’t trust him at the 8?
