I agree with Simon re rewarding mediocrity or for taking part – my wife has had 30 years of education, even taken exams as she’s climbed her career ladder. Now she says to me “we’re lucky we’re not affected by the economic crisis” and I say “balls! No luck, just hard work. Sod the dossers, bullies, scivers & those that should have worked harder!!!”

Keown must be the thickest ex-player going…what’s to admire about what Henderson has done? As far as I’m concerned all he’s done is let down the Club in Saudi and proved he is a selfish individual. Let’s hope Southgate leaves him out of the Euros squad because we actually need hungry young players and not over the hill selfish has beens!

The best English player ever to have played in our Dutch league has obviously been Tony Morley, who brought Aston Villa the European Cup in 1982.. we all loved him when he played for us in the 80's. It became time you English start realizing that we really like your players and that they are admired here by the general public and the fans, it's a rare thing seeing a strong English player in the Dutch league and that bad we aren't cause we are currently no. 5 at the UEFA club team points table .. you don't win the originality price by writing our league is worse than yours…everybody knows that, we make players greater, you buy great players, that's the difference
