Gab Marcotti and Don Hutchison react to some of the biggest stories in British football, as West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta faces a lengthy ban after being charged by the FA for spot-fixing, and Southampton return to the Premier League after beating Leeds United at Wembley.

I suppose that’s why Italy has never produced a successful general use car or plane. Couldn’t come up with a creative enough name so they put a pin in it and went on vacation with their moms
A quick transfer to City, and he’ll be just fine!
With the rise and full embrace of gambling by major sporting clubs and teams all over the world. We will see things like this happen more often and something far more severe is going to happen. We will see some massive match fixing busted in the next few years I bet.
4:49 true , Leeds showed no fighting spirit
honestly, the betting firms should come together and agree to ban bets on things like yellow/red cards and penalties, this is so open to abuse and temptation by gambling addicts I don't understand why they still allow it.
SPL doesn’t have any money , they need to blend into the EFL, like Wales
He is finished. Its easy to prove. What a dumb thing to do so his friends can make a few grand.
Maybe bookies shouldn't allowing bets on negative performance metrics like yellow cards.
Imagine ruining your whole Career over a relatively small amount of money. So stupid.
Thumbs down purely because I clicked for news and instead saw Don Hutchinson the idiot
Meanwhile city has been winning the premier league
Its not just him that whole system is full of match fixing not just the players period.we know all ya'll do
Do I sense a bit of negative tension between these two?
I don't get these overpaid footballers placing bets and this is a new low. Pure Greed
coming from an American where 90% of the streets are 'second street' id say be quiet lol
This show looks like something from the 70s when they have the same actor playing twins and use mirrors to achieve the effect.
What's the difference with Ivan Toney?
We are constructing a dangerous society by making gambling mainstream and accessible; but at the same time certain section of the society (people related to sports) is supposed to be above this. We should not forget that they are also a product of this scoiety.
Gab calling someone else a nerd? Look at yourself in the murror buddy.
Has the American dude ever traveled in USA? There’s towns with the same name everywhere
I love how seemingly every sponsor and ad is a sports book in every sport, yet they get surprised when people bet.
Betting can be easy to win but many players I'm sure get paid to influence games. Take NBA for example: i bet and so many times a player needed to get lets say 19.5 pts leaves right after 19 and doesn't play again and you wonder, why aren't you bringing him back when he was on fire? Maybe coaches get paid too. These all need to been looked into. International law should come up with a rule that if caught betting or influencing games you'll pay a fine of 80% of your current networth and also be banned from the sport for life. In cases where its so bad like maybe taking in millions or so, maybe you're on your last contract and are aging then you do 15 years in maximum prison too. Let's see who will wanna risk everything again. You gotta sign an agreement on that prior to your first ever pro game or go find another career outta sports.
Funny cuz they didn't think they'd get caught cuz if he's not betting then they can't find anything on him. But guess what, if you get booked a lot and you develop this reputation of "oh he gets booked a lot", y'all assume he lacks discipline but he really doesn't, he can control himself but chooses to purposely get booked so his people can get rich. I'd assume these people might place like $5000 bets for example like in the app I'm using and make like 200k off one bet. What seems unrealistic to me is a cake walk for these guys cuz they know the betting company had some players on lock and they'll influence decisions.
lol Don "are you blaming me?"
lol he just looking out for his people. He's too talented to be dropped.
That’s y I don’t watch sports anymore . It’s like everything is compromised someway somehow . From Real Madrid and Barca “paid 12th man” on the field to some bs NBA and NFL in game calls . After the game during the said NFL highlights u see a couple of comments about someone possibly influencing the game cause they had parlay. With comments like ain’t no way this dude missed that tackle smh. Genuine Sports is over as we know it . Sidenote u have even Lebron James trying to get his son in the league by any means necessary smh
Jules is in hiding since ten hag won the fa cup 😆😆
If it's true, needs to be made an example of … and the USA doesn't repeat their town names? … 'Franklin is the most common city name — 28 of them — with Clinton, Madison and Washington tied for second (27 each) and Chester, Greenville, Marion and Springfield at third (25). Google search, maybe make me an ESPN presenter, scraping the barrel it seems. Stay on topic.
Life ban. Never heard such an overreaction
GAB GABS A LOT. I was really hoping a good joke would accidentally slip out. But alas….
Honestly I get it. I played professional and while I never match fixed(even though I’ve been approached) I can understand falling out of love with the game after a while. Also Brasil is not the richest country and his relatives could have legitimately use the money
I really like Paquetta, he's the perfect Pep player! Hope things turnaround for him.
I hope Lucas Paqueta gets banned for this and for his stupid dance celebration
Can we handle the Man City charges first please.
Is that Don?
