Your vid will get me into this 😂
Hes gotta play Bellingham in a 10 role behind kane surely, the more freedom we give him the better he plays..
is there any defenders that are on pens? would be OP if there was. Love the vids !
Hey Tom, loving these videos. I’ve got Simons in midfield but was thinking of downgrading him to Xhaka to get Lukaku. What do you think?
L hernandez? Not for me….that's a pretty basic error
I am seeing a lack of Maehle in teams, is that due to his price or other options, because he was great at the last euros and I think Slovenia is a great fixture, thoughts?
L Hernandez not gonna play
Easily made error by me!
Theo Hernandez is the one you want for france not lucas
Great video mate! Feel that front 3 will be very template and for very good reason
you can take lunin for a gk
I think people tend to overrate Dimarco when looking at his club numbers, which are the main reason I see him picked up in most videos about drafts. Remember to separate the performance one does in for his club and for his national team – coaches are different have different ideas on how to get the best out of him. The Italian national is nowhere near as good offensively as Inter Milan's, so he's going to be way less productive.
Wout Faes is the Belgian David Luiz
Rice for England, is he worth considering? Being Scottish i haven't watched too much of England 😂 and not sure how attacking his role is?
Draft looks good man defence is the same as mine but I've Theo Hernandez
Thoughts on my team? I'm on LL3 WC QF
Pickford Lunin
Mittelstadt T.Hernandez DiMarco Faes Castange
Wirtz Gundogan Rodri Xhaka Bruno
Mbappe Kane Lukaku
The 40% of international goals coming from set pieces is a cool stat but context is important because about 35% of prem goals come from set pieces. That's only a 5% difference so not sure why you would put so much weight on it when making your decisions
im also from bristol but gas head lol
You definitely forgot on Bakayoko, who will play 100% this EURO for Belgium
Been watching your channel for the past season or 2 and didn't realise you were from Bristol, me too! Cheers buddy
0:53 This is false logic, teams will NOT average 1 penalty per 3 games:
(I'm a stats nerd so I will give the you exact chance below🔽)
Assuming 1 in 3 games has a penalty in it, a team would expect to find themselves in 1 game that has a penalty in it, but 50% of the time this goes to the opponent, making the chance of a group stage penalty far less:
There will be 1 penalty in your 3 matches 44% of the time
There will be 2 penalties in your 3 matches 22% of the time
There will be 3(+) penalties in your 3 matches 4% of the time
However…
In terms of how likely YOUR TEAM is to take them:
You will take just 1 penalty in the group stage 34.5% of the time
You will take 2 penalties in the group stage 7% of the time
You will take 3(+) penalties in the group stage <1% of the time
Then remember forwards get 4 per pen scored and -2 per miss
Midfielders get 5 per pen scored and -2 per miss
0.8 penalties get scored
So the expected points gain for a forward per penalty is +2.8 points
And the expected points gain for a midfielder per penalty is +3.6 points
Things look slightly more bleak, so tread with caution on the penalty taker front. Pick players who shine on the outfield goal-threat front. However, if you do back penalty-takers, because they're a safe fpl option (less variance, more 'guaranteed' points) make sure they bang them in 90% of the time and it helps if they're a midfielder not a forward.
Hope that was useful, boy I do love stats.
Doing a mini-league Tom?
Frimpong a good pick?
Thoughts on cancelo?
What do you think of Kane, Mbappe and Dovbyk upfront?
Foden or musiala
Hakan won't be on penalties if Cenk Tosun is on the pitch.
Seeing Calhanoglu in quite a lot of drafts. I get that he is a talisman and got a nice first fixture, but keep in mind he played 7 matches in qualifiers without a single goal involvement.
