Kobbie Mainoo needs a partner with experience but also legs & defensive steel. Fofana is that, he’s also capable of playing as the 6/8 with a double pivot partner which Mainoo can also do. They really complement each other well. Price is the biggest factor for me when looking at him. He’s a great age and coming into the final year of his deal means he will be available for around£20/£25m. Would be a ridiculous piece of business.
He would supplement a 2nd midfield signing because of his price; and his age also means he does not block the pathway of young midfielders coming through…

Obviously a manager as a say in who a club sign you’d think. So if the future is unclear on ETH then we can’t expect signings soon. I’d love United do the business before the EUROS
Fofana Amrabat McTominay and Mainoo along with Bruno and Mount should be a good set up Utd need creativity off the wings so maybe someone like Mathias Soule or Ilias Chair.

Mainoo needs an amrabat who can play 60 games a season
J Neves and Fofana £130/150 mil that would be my ideal midfield options. However with FFP Fofana and keep Amrabat as back up and we have hugely upgraded for around 40/50mil and that would be a great bit of business for us. I also really rate Morten Hjulmand he’s a not the same as Fofana in terms of energy and I would say he’s got more technical attributes in terms of passing but he’s also a really good shout for a player who I think could work well with Mainoo in double pivot. He would cost more but think he could do a job at United. Love the videos Ste keep up the great work…. Up the fucking Paddock

Y’a know what is so exciting? Because of the new owners when ste lays out an inexpensive sensible buy that is neither flashy nor high profile I actually have hope we might do it! What a time to be alive.
People saying we should keep Amarabat are actually cracking me up. We will never be a top team if we keep stocking players like Amarabat. He is a mid table midfielder at best. And I mean at his very best.
I am worried for these players. If Manchester United does get him in, I hope he's mentally ready. We've seen top French players don't work out, eg Pogba, Martial and to some extent Varane. I honestly believe Onana from Everton would be better because he's use to the Premier League more and mentally, I assume, he is more solid, regardless of his price tag.
Still not convinced about Amrabat.. I thought he was aggressive with little end product over 38 games that does help the team . I think making him permanent wouldn’t be a good move but I guess the 20mil is appealing

Would be a very smart piece of business. That's exactly why we won't get him.
For the price, Fofana seems best value for money for the cdm position however I still want Onana as I beleive he has unique set of attributes. Fofana is arguably more comfortable as an 8 so Onana as the 6 would work well. Would also provide us with much needed quality in depth since we currently rely very heavily on mainoo.
His progressive passing and ball retention has been up there for the past two seasons. Getting him and keeping Amrabat would be such a smart move
