WAIT WAIT : According to reporter Gerard Romero, the LaLiga rivals have successful negotiated a deal and the transfer is virtually completed.
He tweeted: "This morning Barca and Sevilla have reached an AGREEMENT principle for Jules Kounde.
"The operation is closed by 99 per cent, except for a cataclysm in the next few hours, the central defender of Sevilla will be a culer [Barcelona player]." Maybe ? 😀
If we miss out on Kounde, it won't be so bad like to miss out on full backs particularly at left back. I think Barca should go for Chelsea's Alonso and not Aspilicueta. At right back we have Dest, Sergi and Arujo sometimes play there. At cb we still have Pique, Gacia and Frenkie -( except he leaves) sometimes play there. Left back we have only Balde and Alba. That's were we need reenforcement while planning a January cb transfer.
Barce need a world class defender to pair arujo no doubt about that. They can look down to big talent in smaller teams to brought up.

They dicked around with Kounde and missed out on another great defender in Koulibaly that also went to Chelsea. The only plan is to use last years "awesome" defense.
Starting XI: Ter Stegen, Dest, Christensen, Araujo, Alba, Kessie, de Jong, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha
Subs: Pena, Pique, Garcia, Balde, Busi, Nico, Roberto, Dembele, Torres, Auba.
If we somehow are able to sell Umtiti, Mingueza, Puig, Braithwaite, and Depay, we can get a much needed Left Back or Right back. Although, for the left I see Balde playing a couple games since I don’t see Alba performing consistently for 20+ games. And RB this is the season Dest needs to show he’s capable of taking that role. But those two positions are key b/c of how involved the Wing backs are in the final third and the positional play that’s needed to track back. Azpi though I understand thr age but he can play CB/RB. Alonso is really good going forward but defensively I question. Lucas Hernandez, Laporte, Pau Torres are very good but require lots of $. And for those saying bring in Saliba, Gvardiol, stop, we need a CB that’s a starter and can play the ball out the back forward through the lines. Not a CB trying to develop, a DEVELOPED CB. It’s a shame we missed Kounde. If we don’t manage to get Azpi, Alonso, then options Galan, Dodo, someone to offer competition in those wing back positions.

I was personally never that crazy about kounde… he obviously is a very good player, and has a lot of potential, but I think the Defence needs a slightly more expierienced player. I haven’t seen anyone mention this, but I would love to see Milan Skriniar in a Barca shirt. At least I think we should go for a player with a similar profile.
