Would you play Trent at left back over Shaw if he is fit James? or be tempted to play him in midfield alongside rice? I like the left back shout and i see where your coming from but the fact hes never done it before concerns me a bit.
Love the England content Jim. For me your squad lacks depth at the cam position, and I don't think we'd need Bowen and Toney. It should be Maddison or Eze, and Toney or Bowen

I think Quansah might surprise Southgate, especially ball playing wise, obviously doesn’t have the experience of the guehi or konsa but I don’t think he’s that far off them defensively

That shot created stat from live ball pass and progressive carries just shows why Bellingham SHOULDNT start for England. Hes simply not better than Saka, Foden or i'd even say Palmer. Hes a player the media have built up to be some world beater when he's far from it. Hes a quality player don't get me wrong but England simply has better. Bellingham chose Madrid over Liverpool because Spain is an easier and more open league and it pads his stats. Just Like Messi did moving to France then MLS so he could keep his high-scoring going as he was starting to drop off. Those saying Grealish should be on the plane don't know why he's a perfect player for England. We play defensive so getting free kicks high up the field is really beneficial. Hes the best in the world probably at drawing fouls and is not a diver.

I would like England to play with 3 CBs (Walker, Stones, Maguire?) Rice to cover LB from DM, Trent DM as well and front 5 of Grealish, Bellingham, Kane, Foden, Saka

Trent should play no 8 alongside rice..too many defensive they need deep lying mid to deliver ball as soon as possible to saka and harry kane..
