We fell just short in our hopes of winning the Premier League title but Kai Havertz’s late goal ensured we ended a season to remember on a high by beating Everton.
Despite having nothing to play for, the Toffees proved to be tricky opponents and took the lead through Idrissa Gueye’s deflected free-kick, but we instantly replied when Takehiro Tomiyasu found the bottom corner.
We kept pressing for the goal that would give us any hope of the title and it came with a minute left through the German striker, but Manchester City’s 3-1 win against West Ham meant that our result was immaterial as they collected a fourth-straight league title.
They finished just two points ahead of ourselves despite us hitting record hauls for wins and goals in the competition, and amassing 89 points – just one short of the Invincibles’ record 20 years ago.

Man city game in hand just helped them to lift the epl trophy. If they had the same amount of game to play with arsenal, we all know that arsenal would have won the epl. But notwithstanding this is the best epl season so far. I mean not loosing to any big team in the epl is jst crazy and conceding less goals is phenomenal. Just hope that the players, manager and staffs know that we are very proud of them. I am not sad that we didn't win the league, but seeing how much the teams have grown, seeing the connection with the fans and the passions to win are already enjoyable enough to watch. Arsenal end the Premier League season on a high with a victory on the final day. We finish the season 2nd having conceded the fewest goals. We were second best to a team who're yet to come clean on 115 charges of wrongdoing. Proud of the Gunners & proud to be a Gunner. If we keep going at this rate, it's a matter of time before we win a major trophy.
Excellent performance from arsenal throughout the season but should have gone for the jugular of man city when they met at eithad, should never have played for a draw because man city under pep are almost flawless at the latter end of each epl season.
