nice analysis – erics clearly wanted frimpong or dumfries to replace AWB from the start … the club are definitely well informed so we should go and get it done. It's a bit unfortunate that Leverkusen jumped so much into the spotlight this season as we'll now have difficult competition with other clubs

What if we cant get Frimpong, what are some other elite attacking or high potential right wing backs. I think with Olise likely to come in and diallo coming into his own, both being technical creative players they could both benefit from support from an attacking right back that can at times be wingers with olise/diallo in that right side attacking midfield position.

I do agree that frimpong is class but I don't think united should sign him or dumfries. I think united should go for geertruida from feyenoord. I believe he's a younger and cheaper alternate to both frimpong and dumfries. He's also versatile, being able to play at rb, cb, lb and cdm and is also good going forward. At 23, he can still improve and become even better.
No way Frimpong signs for Man U when he is guaranteed champions league football at Leverkusen and Dalot is good just sign Ollise as Rw,Gomes from wolves as Cm and sell The fidget spinner,Rashford and Casemiro

Staunchly disagree with Frimpong being a good target. This is the vicious cycle of poor transfers continued. Stick with AWB, this guy is just buying a shiny object that just seems better than what we have. Frimpong CANNOT play fullback or we will immediately be hearing the narrative of how he is defensively inept. Not too different than how AWB gets a magical narrative of not being good enough offensively(which isn't even true). Stop spending money on positions that we already have. In most cases the struggles of players is down to a failure of having complementary players. Frimpong's style of play would isolate him for criticism even more than AWB.
