So what if they do struggle? They’ll have £120m in the bank and have massively overachieved. Not a single Villa fan will complain if they struggle a bit next year and don’t qualify for Europe. They know this has been a fantastic season and they’re going to have fun next year no matter what happens. Even if they only qualify for the Europa Conference in the future, playing in Europe will give them experience, even if it’s just the schedule. Klopp says constantly that qualifying for the UEFA Cup with Mainz was key in his career, because even though they didn’t do amazingly in it, the fans loved it, it made money for the club and it gave him the necessary experience of managing a team across multiple competitions. Players will benefit from it massively too.
This is getting old.
Clickbait headline both were reasonable
Ffp presents a massive challenge. Emery took villareal to ucl semis so is possibly as good a manager as you could hope for with such an (unfair) handicap
Liverpool fan but I'm glad Villa are back in the European Cup, it's great to see new faces in the competition and under Emery… who knows? he's a european genius. They're atleast gonna play eight games so it will be fun to see how they get on.
I disagree. I placed a bet at the beginning of the season for Villa to get into the top 4 at 10/1. I picked up my winnings this morning. So who's there best pundit. The guy who puts his money where his mouth is!!
Unai Emery has so much credit in the bank & is very much loved by everyone connected with Aston Villa that even if we don't finish as high as we did this season, Unai's job won't be under any threat. In 18 months he has completely turned Villas fortunes around & has done an incredible job,Unai is elite & one of the best managers in world football. In Unai we trust…… up the mighty Villa!!! 😊
Dear TalkSPORT: Stop letting Simon Jordan and Danny Murphy talk about Villa. Neither understand the basic nuisances of the reasons for the Villa uprising.
I don't care if we go straight out of the Cl and finish 7th next season, Emery isn't going anywhere.
Oh dear, it seems that the mighty Villa have upset the status quo and Simon is miffed.
Emery is a elite manager and deserves respect
Emery is a top class manager, can’t see Villa letting him go.
Simon sounds like a tabloid editor. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Simon Jordan is just full of garbage so much hate
Simon just talks pure and utter rubbish he can’t take the fact villa have accomplished there goal
Last day at WEST HAM, Danny… prick
Unai Emery & Aston Villa = NO EXCUSES FC
It’s not MONEY… it’s COACHING boys
💜💙🦁. FFP/PSR is fine
The media can’t handle Villa’s success, the sad news for these so called experts is You Better Get Used To It they’ll be more to come. Move over the Mighty Villa is coming.
lol Simon Jordan is so bitter
Simon is just salty because he ran Palace into the ground and Villa are showing what a well run club looks like.
Simon is definitely not a fan of the Villa 😅😂 UTV boys
As a Wolves Fan it hurts, but congrats to Villa, I hope you do very well in the Champions League next Season. As Villa are the Midlands second biggest Club, well done.
Villa have put alot of work into the club off and on the pitch , rehab started with Steve Bruce who put it some good ground work then the gaffer Dean Smith, who made us a team , derailed by Gerrard n saved by Emery backroom staff owners we've got the complete package. Man u , Tottenham n Chelsea less so need alot of work so I think we're here to stay for a while 🎉
There's no doubt about it, it will be very difficult to repeat it next season. Chelsea will come back, Newcastle will be up there if they don't have the same injury problems again but we never know. I don't think we'd sack Emery though, we've invested too much into him for us to get rid so soon.
Funny how people are disagreeing with Simon like we havent seen this story before. Newcastle, Leicester, Tottenham, Bolton, Everton list can go on. We all love an underdog story but history always repeats itself. Aston Villa have your moment, reality kicks in next season and you will be back where you belong…
