He did play phenomenally all series UNTIL that one mistake that let Real Madrid back in. And from there it was just a mess. Tuchel taking it his three playmakers for a defender was obscene and a crime. This is the semi finals, do or die….there is no more important games you need to save them for. Musiala, Kane, and Sane were by far the most important players out there and you needed to keep your foot on the gas to try and keep that lead and try to keep scoring. Neuer did save them from getting completely destroyed, but what should have been an insanely routine stop for Neuer let Real Madrid back in the game and have even more momentum than they had. And then that ending was just pure chaos, and a farce.
Good saves, but he still gave a goal away. That's how it is for goalkeepers, you can be a hero all game and all it takes is a second to become a zero.
