[Emma Sanders] As reported by @Stillmanator I believe Arsenal are targeting Barcelona forward Mariona Caldentey as a potential Vivianne Miedema replacement. Villa GK Daphne van Domselaar still on their list. They also spoke with Fran Kirby’s reps but won’t make a move.

Better hope we get these over the line as an absolute minimum.
No room for excuses next season either, this is the coaches team now and it had better work out.
I’ve supported him all the way but there won’t be much patience if things start to go wrong again next year and I’m sure I’m not the only one* with that opinion.

Why would they even say Mariona is a replacement for Viv? Isn’t she a winger? Also tough situation for her to walk into given how emotionally upset the fan base is at the moment. I probably wouldn’t have phrased it like that.
Also Kirby has been hurt as much as Viv, that wouldn’t be the best option imo
No offense to Kirby as she’s amazing when healthy and a gem of a person but… she has a worse injury and illness history than Viv. She’s had 1 healthy season in like 5 or 6 years.
