Looks like the Caps used the wrong formation against LA. Too many defensive lapses and they didn't seem to use a sweeper to cover up those gaps. This is just a cake walk for LA.

That first one was offside. If VAR was there it’d would’ve been disallowed and the game might’ve had a different outcome. That’s what’s happening in European game, VAR is chopping down goals, keeping fans waiting and taking the fluidity out of the game. You’ll see all that when VAR eventually reaches the MLS

Wow, what a turkey by the new and improved Whitecaps. I think LAFC live inside all their heads. They want no part of this great team. After a great start, things are starting to circle the drain for Vancouver's favorite eleven. Oh well, there's always next year. Sigh.

Whitecaps' defense was very penetrable throughout the match. Clearly wrong formation. If not for the good goalkeeping by Takaoka they might have lost in an even worse way.
Did you notice that when the third goal was scored, the referee ran faster, Denis Bouanga, probably knew that they were about to score a goal.
This game confirmed why LAFC shipped out Blackmon a few years ago.
