This talk about Harry Kane being a great player is hilarious. He just isn’t. He’s a great goal scorer, that’s it. A flat track bully. He has ghosted every single final and important game he’s ever played in his career. As soon as I saw him in the lineup for the CL final in 2019, I knew we’d won it, because he’s basically invisible in big games.
It’s all well and good statpadding against Karlsruhrer, Norwich and Burnley, but when you ghost against Madrid and miss penalties vs France, you’re not great.
Bent is right about world class players dragging teams to trophies. We saw Gerrard do it for years with us, he turned round an FA Cup final single handedly and got a Liverpool team featuring Djimi Traore a CL title. Not three months ago, VVD dragged a team of kids to that League Cup trophy against Chelsea.
Ronaldo did it with Portugal, Maradona did it with Napoli and Argentina back in the day. Kane can’t do it.

I'm the biggest Harry Kane fan and want him desperately to win a big trophy but you can't deny in those big matches he doesn't make stuff happen.
Look at the likes of Didier Drogba, born winner you'd want on your team because he'd make it happen no matter what.
