  1. I think we need to address our defence as well. I’d argue our worst players last year by a country mile were our CBs. We’ve done nothing to replace them or provide cover. We’ve lost Kabak who’s gone back to his parent club, so the weakest part of our team just got weaker and we’ve not addressed it. I do like these moves and I’m optimistic about our time in the championship, but I fear for us long term if we don’t learn from our mistakes and fix our defence.

  2. If we buy this guy, we have to play him and give him the time to get to the level we require. Can’t be another who we loan out, to never see again.
It’s a World Cup year, so Kone will need some guarantees of game time too, or he could miss out the Canada squad.

  3. Bit of a Tzolis comparison there, breakthrough season then we swoop in, like to get forward … Jury is out IMO. Would prefer a player with some pedigree that a guy from the Canadian league.

  4. Quite random but where have the match day videos gone I really really enjoyed them I love watching/listening to the podcasts but it's not the same anymore

  5. Canadian here. Yes, he is strong and fast, but I would say his top qualities are smoothness, composure and maturity beyond his years. If everything is hectic and panicky he can calmly get the ball out of danger and do a smart pass or move up the field. He is pretty slick. He seems more like a French player than an English player to me. It was inevitable that Kone would go overseas. Well done to Norwich for spotting him first.
