  1. The striker market has been in crisis for almost a decade now, there are simply no elite nr 9 coming through in world football

85m for Nunez and 75m for Hojlund are laughable, fair play to Benfica and Atalanta for getting it done

  2. He does this after all the support from LFC the past two years? I recall his name chanted at Anfield despite WILD misses in front of goal.

It’s not hard to recount major chances he has missed the past month which has directly impacted results..

  3. Should be obvious if you watch him play, blud has worse body language than Ronaldo during his last yanited season

If i was liverpool id be delighted to get rid of him

Go for someone who can put the ball in the back.of the net someone like isak

  5. Good. He’s had 2 seasons at the club now, he’s 24 but fans treat him like he’s a 17 year old kid from the academy. He’s not good enough. Chaos doesn’t win you the league or games, goals do and he misses to many chances. He needs to go.

  6. ITT: ungrateful Liverpool fans who are delusional in thinking they’d even sniff the champions league spot without Darwin this year.

  7. Sir-Turd-Ferguson on

    I think it’s all warranted.

The fans should be upset, Darwin should be upset

I rather him go into the summer angry.. get on the training pitch and fn get to work!

I have been a big Darwin defender for the fact that I see the talent he possesses and what he could potentially be. It’s just the fact that Liverpool are not at a point where potential is enough to warrant a Starting XI spot — you need to earn that. I get he’s upset but he’s had numerous chances to bury shots all year and just hasn’t. If he stays, I won’t be mad and if he goes, I won’t be mad — I’m just numb at this point.

  9. A winger whos quick and brilliant but otherwise unable to finish clinically? Are we talking about Raheem Sterling? City will have him in the summer for sure.

highly inconsistent with flashes of brilliance? fucks easy chances up? we’ll take him

  11. As a United fan I love nothing more than negative news coming out of Anfield. But fuck me, football really is on its arse in the age of social media and instant gratification. He’s a young player, in what we keep claiming is the best/toughest/most competitive league in the world (it isn’t), and to top it off he’s actually been alright. If people expected him to come in and be prime Suarez they are fucking idiots.

Well from what ive seen from this guy this year…if he decides to leave he will miss the door….

From a neutral’s perspective his finishing isn’t what worries me most. He has poor link up play, I remember a match recently where he could cut it back or try a near impossible finish at the near post. Guess which one he chose? Added to that his first touch is very sporadic, to put it nicely.

I played pub football as a forward. I’d moan if left on the bench. I tended not to moan if I was playing and playing badly. I tended to keep quiet during those periods.

He was bought at a price which suggested he could improve (as all players can) but could also operate at a decent level. For a mid table club I could see him being ok (and at a cheaper price). Problem was he wasn’t cheap and playing in a very exciting attacking lineup. He should have been hauling and improving given the quality around him. It’s on him, he has had lots of opportunities.

  14. Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton? He played one season with us ffs, and was bang average at that.

  15. LowkeyNomed on

Unhappy? How can this motherfucked be unhappy with all the chances he is getting, yet he miss everything… fuck outta here

  16. Pinetrees1990 on

When you watch you can see he has done potential but it’s when he gets to fulfil that potential and if we can afford to give him that time. He has been here 2 seasons and not had an impact yet.

Nunez biggest positive is even when he doesn’t score in a game he has 1/2 chances where he could/should score. It’s not like he goes missing in games and in general knows what he should be doing in our system.

    Saying that :
    – his first touch is average.
    – his passing is average
    – he is not clinical at all
    – he gets caught offside well to often.

I think everyone watching him can see he has the right ideas, good movement (bar offsides) but at the moment hasn’t demonstrated the skills set to consistently deliver. There was a period mid season where it looked like it was coming but it’s never quite happened for him.

My opinion is if we can get back most of our money let him go, I think there are better players out their.

For what we hoped he was going to become he just hasn’t.,

I truly believe if or when Salah leaves we’ll see a completely different Nunez. He’s clearly a massive character and probably used to being the “guy” at benfica. I hope he stays for at least one season under Slot.

  18. MeUnderstandOda on

Come to Arsenal. You won’t get any respect in Liverpool, it’s filled with bottle jobs.

  19. woke_karen on

I like him, but he misses practically every sitter, and it is not like he’s not been given every opportunity

  20. I could finish in front of net better than him and I’m a washed up 40 yo former university player.. its sad, he’ll score some absolute firecrackers but then he’ll consistently miss the most basic fucking sitters… pick a fucking corner Darwin and keep it low, it’s fundamental mate. Gooooodbye

  21. drumrollplease95 on

Really disappointing behaviour. The fans love him and have supported him since he’s been here. Yes, there’s been frustration this season because of his finishing, but I don’t understand the tantrum. I don’t want him to leave because I like him and really want him to get better, but it’s looking like that’s never going to happen. Hopefully if he does leave he goes on to reach his potential elsewhere

  22. Mirroredentity on

I could tell there was a massive almost instant shift in the fans opinions on Nunez, and it all happened during the Europa league 1st leg vs Atalanta.

All season long the fans have backed him despite him missing so many chances because we could see the potential. Despite his poor form we have been singing his name in matches and defending him against rival fans.

But you could tell the crowd collectively decided enough was enough after watching him yet again miss multiple sitters in a match we ended up losing 3-0, costing us the tie and the significant probability of winning the Europa league as a nice send off for Klopp.

Trash article feeding off of the online abuse received by the player and his family. Shame on the clowns jumping in on this hate, you don’t deserve to call yourselves Liverpool supporter!

No way in hell that Edwards would let him go for less than 80 million. problably get loaned out to either mid-table PL team or Laliga. what a waste of potential. dude has everything except finishing a goal.
