When we first signed him if you would have told me a large majority of us would be so pleased with him that we would be over the moon that he resigned with us, I would have called you crazy. Mikel and these transfers man, look so bad on paper and with the exception of a few low cost misses, they’ve all blossomed quite well.

I would rather old players who know how the system works stay at the club (i.e Partey and Jorgi) and help the new players develop and understand it than take a risk and it not working out immediately which would risk our title push for the upcoming seasons.
