Many sources are saying he wants out, and have been for the past three years – has anyone had actual confirmation of this? I've missed it if he has said so.

Well besides asking him we don’t know anything for certain, apparently he wants to go to Barca and if not wants to stay at City or go to another big club that can compete in the CL and their league.
