Hi Charles! Mmh for me Gyokares is absolutely a risk bcs he is not that player who can take us to another level. I describe him as Nunez of Liverpool just one season there and look what he has done at Liverpool nothing. For me I would go for Harry Kate and try to sign him..I would even give him 400k a week to convince him bcs he is the only striker in my humble opinion who can take us to an other level and am sure he can push us to big stage and win big titles. It couldn't be possible to go for him when he was at spurs but now we can at least go there and try to back him in England. Put those 95M for him on the table I think Bayern can't reject that money, Kane will give us everything we want from a striker. Kane can still play for us for at least 5 years. How do you see that?
I'd keep Jesus for depth but he'd be available for the winter transfer window
Charles stop being so sentimental. We all love jesus and would love him to get back to his best. But it's clear with his now dodgy knee that's not going to happen. We need to cash in and upgrade. This isn't late Wenger years anymore arteta and the board are and need to remain ruthless xx
This is crazy, if Arsenal thinks of releasing Jesus because he is unfit, no club will want to sign him, not even in Brazil or Saudi Arabia! They're not stupid enough to get a player for their medical department, especially with such a big salary and a big transfer fee!
Let's accept it, either Arsenal keep him for the rest of his contract, repeating the sad story of Ozil, or he returns to fitness and deserves his place in the starting lineup!
Jesus isnβt up to it π
Yeah four prem league goals is excellent Charles ππ
Hi Charles π, I hope all is good π π¦ βΊοΈ π π π. I would keep Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal for another season to see π if he can help the Gunners win π matches and trophies God willing π. COYG to thrash Manchester United God willing. Have a great day Charles π. Arsenal rocks π π π€² πͺ¨ πΈ π.
as soon as we get rid off this mug jesus the better, a whining moaning useless so called player. does nothing for the team
Fans having their opinion is fine but Mikel has proven that his decision should always be respected and trusted. Also regardless of who we think weβre going to sign or sell, Mikel and Edu always chose a different option.
Arsenal could regret selling ESR
Isak is my choice charles
This is a game where we need them to come at us and so havit z and martinelli can batter them with pace other wise change it 0n 60th min
Have jesus as rotation across the front 3 if we actually need another striker. I wouldnt sell him. He not a 20 goal striker which is why he played wide at city.
I have to agree with the idea of saving money on an out n' out striker and maybe investing a little more into a winger who adds versatility and dynamism to our attack.
I know this is fairly unrealistic but imagine Leroy Sane playing on the left wing? With the form he is currently showing, I think he'd start over Martinelli and Trossard and has the ability to be deployed on the right flank as well. Some experience working with Arteta at City and could fit in well with the german link through Havertz. I know its a reach but a front three of Saka, Havertz and Sane would be feared by everyone in the league. Other options that pop into mind inlcude Rashford, Olise, Neto, or maybe even Sancho?
Love your show all the way from Detroit, Michigan in USA. Check out Detroit City FC's win last night over the reigning US Open Cup champs, Houston Dynamo (MLS). Not only did we score a goal of the season contender, but we came out on top after 120 min of play, with our goalkeeper scoring the match winning penalty. Down with MLS and up lower league football!
Poor defending
Hi Charles what do you think about Alphonso Davies as an LB option ?
Personally donβt think heβd be a fit for arteta but only a year left on his contract in the summer can also play further forward so could cover on the wing
Charles, is there any news regarding Zirkzee? Currently playing for a modern coach (Motta) with many similarities to Arteta. Could he possibly make the leap to the Arsenal system more easily than most? He looks like a technical player with almost a Harry Kane style and physique.
Hello Charles, I just finished watching Madrid vs bayern. Its sad we still having conversations of signing a striker we need to grow as a team if a team like real are going for titles every season we need a change of mentality at arsenal we have to be tge best cos we have all it takes. Coyg for life.
Hello Charles watching from houston texas. I believe jesus should be cover for saka and convince him that he can get minutes as saka cover and no9 cover or we can say no2 in the attack one of the first names to come on thats a good option to have. Hoa best season at city came as right winger
Hi Charls – Sri from New Zealand, I start my mornings with your show, love the content.
Following up from your Martin Ali comment and untouchables in the squad, with more game time for Trossard do you think he can be tempted out with an offer or is he viewed as untouchable too?
Question (well more comment) Question (perhaps more a comment actually) Charles, I think the summer transfer strategy should revolve around increasing the composite output of the squad which in turn raises the level of the first 11 each week.
Whilst I'd be excited by an Osimhen/Isak, De Jong and Bremmer/ Kimich type of summer with big transfer and wages who have won big trophies I'd prefer something more like Sesko, Williams, Estevao Willian, Zubimendi, Diamonde/Hato – maybe both depending on sales. Would be expensive but if we do averagely well selling and can invest 150-200m on fees but we'd reduce the wage bill.
We would then reduce the workload on our top performers and increase their performance and make cup runs more likely to help balance the workload and minutes to bring everythone up to Arteta's standard.
This would support the short term and long term growth in football and finance especially when combined with the next generation of Hale Enders.
Gyokeres is almost exactly where Drogba was when he signed for Chelsea. Agree it smells funny, however not quite as heavy on the price tag.
I'm not certain but can't rule it out if Edu et al green light.
