  1. its unfortunate that so many people believe the best way to push back against qatar’s ownership is to harass random fans just trying to have a conversation in their own space

I know the sun went private last night but why was I. Locked out ? Iā€™m a member lol

  3. In my opinion, under QSI, PSG has overprioritized buying great forwards over great midfielders or defenders. It makes sense for their goals: great forwards are more marketable.

Great forwards can score many goals against inferior opposition in domestic table competitions, but I think in knockout competitions, great midfielders are necessary to implement a structure to let a team impose itself and break down the top opposition.

And great defenders let a team eke out tough, narrow victories.

Look at Manchester City under Guardiola for example. Man City cultivated great midfielders and defenders to can allow it to perfect its possession-based style over many years and only after the midfield and defense were perfected did Guardiola put the finishing touches on the attack by recruiting Haaland and Grealish.

Did not take Dortmund serious that’s why the players never reached 100% while the Dortmund players played as if their lives depended on it. It is also on the coach. He thought with the attacking quality the goals would come by themselves.

Players thought of Dortmund like some mid-table Ligue1 team where they can half-ass it and still get a victory. Anyway, with the young squad and financial might PSG will reach the CL semi-final again in the future.

Madrid fan here, came to say that you guys were completely unlucky. Dortmund’s defending was all over the place in both games and instead of conceding at least 2-3 goals in each, they miraculously managed to keep two clean sheets. And somehow most people say that they “deserved it” lol.

With a normal amount of luck (not hitting the post 7 times in 2 games) you should have reached the final. I was really looking forward to a final against you guys, even if most fans hate you for some reason.

  6. Here is my assessment of Mbappe’s legacy:

    1. The player who gave the best performance for PSG, accounting for game time a season. Per 90, Neymar performed better than Mbappe, but Mbappe should be a bigger club legend because Neymar had a consistent injury schedule every season that causes him to miss games.
    2. In terms of performance, no one cannot realistically ask more of Mbappe. He transformed from one of the top prospects in the world to become the best player in the world in many eyes while playing for PSG. The only thing that can detract from Mbappe’s reputation is the absurd compensation he demanded in his second contract, but if Mbappe demanded more reasonable compensation, can anyone trust PSG to spend that money well to build a better squad?
    3. The man earns my respect (and is handsomely compensated) for betting he can achieve football immortality by bringing PSG its first UCL in the final two years he could have otherwise spent in Madrid.

If he had gone to Madrid earlier, he is almost guaranteed a Balloon Dor by one, but he may yet still win one through the Euros.

And the chance to win one will surely be more fulfilling than a guarantee.
